Hi geekigirl,
I like checking out your blog but it does give me a certain sense of envy. You see, I live in Winnipeg, where there a few fun boutiques and big box and mall stores rule.
My question for you is regarding Canadian online shoe stores. While there are plenty of ones in the States, I don’t like considering the duty and exchange. I am aware of softmoc.ca here shipping in Canada but would love to know if you have come across any others.
Thanks!
Dai

This post needs and update and here I am to do that. Online shopping is getting better in Canada. There are some new additions for online shoe shopping.

Online shopping in Canada isn’t very good most of the time. Things are slowly changing though as one of the big players in Canadian shoes is going online, Browns. They aren’t quite live yet, but if you sign up for the announcement you will get a coupon for $25 bucks.

There are others that offer online service:

NEW – Browns – is now open and not in holding as mentioned in the original post.

NEW – Getoutside – Toronto based shop

NEW – Little Burgundy Shoes

NEW – Canada.Zappos.com

NEW – Maria Serrano Shoes from Argentina

NEW – Reborn – Reborn has a small collection of shoes from brands like Acne, Scott Wilson, Surface to Air and Opening Ceremony.

NEW – Sydneys’ – Offers a small collection of men’s shoes

NEW – Nine West – Orders taken via phone and delivered via Purolator

NEW – Groovy Shoes – Queen West staple

NEW – Neon Clothing – Supplier of Dr. Martens

Gravity Pope – They have retail outlets in Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver. They do online sales but their backoffice is not hooked up to the site. It’s a bit of a manual process but they will take your order and deliver your shoes.

Aldo Shoes – You probably can got the mall and see Aldo, but they deliver too.

John Fluevog

Sportmart for you athletic shoes.

Adidas – More sporting needs although they do have cute casual shoes too.

Transit|Spring Shoes

Naturalizer ships shoes via BorderFree, which calculates the duties and taxes at point of purchase.

Running Room

The Shoe Company

Tony’s Shoes – They reside in Montreal

Athlete’s World

Footlocker

Concete Beach skateware

Durand’s Fine Footware

Hush Puppies

Jeanne Lottie – The handbag queen also does shoes.

Mona Moore – High end shoes to be found here

Sterling

Dayton Boots – From Vancouver, they product motorcycle boots primarly for men.

Ron White – Will soon be opening an online store. Sign up for notification

Nicks Custom boots – He has a pair of beautiful riding boots

New Balance Toronto

Miller’s Shoes

Augustina

ECCO Canada

Just Black Shoes – Mostly Men’s shoes but small selection of women’s

Sole Stop – Sneakers online

Forzieri Italian Shoes – The company will pay the taxes and duties.

Some shoe store links came from filly.ca a site from Halifax.

There are a lot more stores than I thought. Remember Caveat Emptor, I haven’t used any of these services.

Nice sites, unfortunately i need sneakers as in Nike Dunks and Nike SB’s… None of those sites besides solestop carry stuff like that. Are there any other ones? Cause solestop is way overpriced.

    Thanks, John

I really have no idea. Most shops that I know of in Toronto that sell that stuff don’t have online sites.

Looking at the prices, they don’t too off from what I see in the shops. If you see cheaper they are probably fake

Miller Shoes was a great recommendation! Thanks! I went to their location since it was just down the street from me, and their sales staff was great, and so was their quality! My mom ordered two pairs from them this morning too

Hi–I am looking for a pair of Semler sandles with a removable insole. #521-6-203 size 8.5. I could no tfind a listing of retail stores that handle these German imports. I will be happy to buy them online or at a Victoria, B.C or Nanaimo retail outlet—Many Thanks

    Great set of links!
it’s definitely harder for Canadians than Americans (if you want to avoid duty at least).

Check out Wicked Overstock for shoes.
It’s not a massive selection but the prices are really good and if you spend over $89 there’s free shipping anywhere in Canada.

  13. i love Online shopping because it is so convenient and it is just one click away.,’”
