Designer knockoff, literally
Wednesday, February 28, 2007 10:10Yohji Yamamoto Fall 2007 collection was pretty funny. It looks like he was inspired by the infamous Louis Vuitton logo and decided to knock it off.

I do really like this outfit thought.

I’m not feeling this fall collection, his menswear inspired Spring 2007 was great.

Yeah, it reminds me of LV too! I’m loving the second outfit with the black dress =) Not so sure about the head accessory. I definately would not pull that one off… lol

Oh the head wrap has to go, but the jacket and dress are awesome

a lot of brands/designers have been doing the monogram for a couple years now whether it is the vuitton monogram, gucci double g’s or chanel c’s. Stussy did 2 intertwined S’s a la Chanel and even Paul Frank did a monkey head design similar to the Gucci monogram. I’m kind of surprised that Yamamoto did this ‘knock off’. Is it a joke? He’s pretty well known already especially with his Y-3 collaboration with Adidas.
Anyways, I’ve finally joined the blogging world! Feel Free to link me to your site! I will definitely do so when i figure out how to.

You aren’t the only one that was surprised. I read an article by Robin Givhan who says not only is it a joke, it’s one he’s told before.
