When it rains it pours with online sample sales. I’ve discovered the Gilt Groupe. They have some really good deals on designer merchandise. For example, there is an Allegra Hicks sale till 11pm EST January 31, 2008. Some of the price discounts are very steep, I’m talking $1500 dresses for $300. Vivianne Tam and Links of London are coming in February.
Sales are short on this site and usually lasts up to 36 hours. Sizing is from 2 – 10.

So I have ordered from Gilt in the past and been very pleased with both the quality and the arrival time, but early this month I ordered a $200 dress from them….which never arrived. They provided a tracking number (which UPS didn’t recognize) and though I called them five times and sent three e-mails over the course of 2 weeks I never received a response. The first time I called, I was allowed to leave a general voicemail message. On subsequent calls that option had been removed. I’ve called five times during business hours, all at different times of day, and never been able to reach a customer representative. The website makes a big deal about customer service, but I’ve been spectacularly disappointed. What gives? Anyone else had similar problems?
