Sorry folks. I forgot my camera cable and can’t get at any of my pictures from Montreal. I’ll return to regularly scheduled posting on Friday when I’m back in T.O.

Highlights of the Montreal Trip so far

1. YSL at The Montreal Museum of Fine Art
2. Notre-Dame Basilica
3. Reborn clothing shop in Old Montreal
4. Chatting about fashion with Adrian

1 and 2 brought me to tears today. If you haven’t seen the YSL exhibit and you have the ability to, get off the computer and head there now. It closes on Sept 28, 2008. There was no photography allowed so I didn’t get any pictures.

I’ll also return with commentary on New York Fashion Week which hasn’t been very interesting so far. I caught a glimpse of Jeremy Laing and it looks pretty cool. He’s playing with cutouts this season.

I was looking forward to the YSL exhibit in Montreal and planned on going there on the last day (Sept 28th) so that I could catch the Andy Warhol exhibit, which coincidentally starts on the 28th.

I was so excited about it that I totally forgot that I have to attend a wedding that same day! I can understand how you would be in tears attending the exhibit, just as I would be if I had the chance to go. I guess I’ll have to settle for the catalogue and max my imagination as to how lovely the actual pieces are. YSL will remain as a legend for his innovations, and an inspiration to all.

    Hi Kitty

There is an exhibit book that is amazing. I’m going to order it online when the English version comes out. I almost bought the French one to be honest.

The Warhol exhibit looks good too.

Thanks for letting me know that the book is in French. I think I will wait for the English version too. French is a beautiful language, but I’d like to be able to understand the stories behind the YSL’s creativity.

Love this site! Keep up with the great work!

That’s how I felt too. The images in the book are fantastic and there are original drawings from YSL too.

Thanks for your kind words, but I wouldn’t be anything without the readers. So thank you!
