Bergdorf Goodman plans to mark the return of the high-end Calvin Klein Collection this fall with an invitation-only preview of the minimalist label's spring line, complete with champagne and a visit from designer Francisco Costa. For Calvin Klein parent Phillips-Van Heusen Corp., the event will be an important test of its strategy to restore the label's cachet.Bergdorf, Saks Fifth Avenue and other luxury retailers had stopped carrying clothing from the collection in recent years, due to late deliveries and uneven quality.
