Campaign to fight youth homelessness gives back to at-risk and homeless youth
International bestselling electro-pop sensation Lady GaGa will be in Toronto November 30, 2008 to lend her support to Virgin Mobile Canada’s Re*Generation Program. In partnership with Virgin Unite Canada, the RE*Generation program will give back to Canadian programs that support at-risk and homeless youth and raise awareness for the campaign with a benefit concert featuring Lady GaGa.Lady GaGa made a name for herself on the Lower East Side club scene with the infectious dance-pop party song “Beautiful Dirty Rich,” and wild, theatrical and often tongue-in-cheek “shock art” performances. Signed by her 20th birthday and writing songs for other artists (such as the Pussycat Dolls) before her debut album was even released, Lady GaGa is a multi-talented singer-songwriter who has attacked the charts and built a huge buzz all around the world.
Virgin Mobile thanks Samsung, Wal-Mart, Wireless Wave, Telephone Booth, Future Shop, Zellers, Unigistix and Virgin Radio 999 for their support for Re*Generation.
WHAT is the RE*Generation Movement?
The RE*Generation movement is Virgin Mobile and Virgin Unite’s effort to empower a generation to help its own by bringing together organizations that care about Canada’s at-risk and homeless youth and connecting them with people who want to help.
