The I want – I got Fit-in-15 Contest

So you might remember that I’ve been challenged.

I’ve been called out for a challenge. The Fit-in 15 campaign is about building awareness to bring physical activity into your daily life. Most people have a hard time starting up a heavy routine at the gym and think that’s the only way to be active. Its just not true, adding as little as 15 minutes of activity a day can yield health benefits. Active living is a lifestyle, you need to incorporate activities that fit your schedule and stick to them. Start out small and increase. The main key is REPETITION. Get it stuck in your brain so you don’t even think of it. There are many things you can do and I’m going to talk about the things I do daily over the course of the next week.

I’ll be posting throughout the week about Fit-in-15 tips on I want – I got, ending with a great finale post wrapping it all up. There is a contest portion of this series: The I want – I got Fit-in-15 Contest.

I will be choosing one winner that will receive a 4GB iPod Shuffle and one $20 iTunes gift card.

How To Participate

1. Well, impress me with your stylist’s prowess. You shall put together a sporty look that would be perfect for Fit-in-15. I’m looking for sportwear influences and cool athleticwear. It can be mens or womens, I’m looking for the best styled outfit.

2. I want three Fit-in-15 tips. Tell me how your incorporate Fit-in-15 into your life.

3. Take a picture of yourself doing one of your Fit-in-15 tips. If you don’t have image hosting, please sign up for flickr account.

4. Enter by leaving a comment with your three Fit-in15 tips and links to the outfit and photo. Please sign up for a Polyvore account to create your outfit and link it in the comments. There are no conditions on where the outfit comes from, however making it Made in Canada will definitely put you on my radar. You are not restricted to Polyvore, if you want to show me your Photoshop prowess please do.

3. To be eligible for the prize pack I need a valid email address – this will be kept secure and private and will not be published.

4. Submissions must be received by Friday, June 26, 2009 11:59EST. If they come in after Friday they will not be in the running for the prize.

I’ll announce the winners on Monday, June 29, 2009 and that individual will receive the prize. The winner will be notified via email so I can get your mailing address.

The Rules
1. The contest is open to residents of Canada.
2. I reserve the right to change anything if I have to.
3. Please no explicit pictures or offensive stuff, I won’t pick it anyways.
4. There are no prize substitutions. If you cannot take delivery I will pick another winner.
5. Duplicate outfits will be treated as first post, first choice. Check the comments before posting to make sure.
6. I will accept up to 2 outfit entries per person. You post 3, you are eliminated. You can reuse the image of yourself and your three Fit-in-15 tips.
7. The judging is purely subjective and based on my whim. To win you must put yourself in my head and pick things I would want to wear. Explore I want – I got for ideas

I want to thank Eden from iStudio for providing the prize. I look forward to the entries.

  • Thanks Anita! How’s your Fit-in 15 going?

I thought I’d let everyone know they have another chance to win an iPod Shuffle tomorrow (June 22). All they need to do is take a brisk 15 minute walk and leave a comment on my blog confirming they’ve taken their walk by 6 p.m. ET in a smack down challenge between Bargainista and Parent Club. A winner will be drawn from the participants.

    Cheers,
    Eden

  • 1. i believe calisthenics are a great workout: 15 min of pull ups, sit ups and push ups… maybe some lunges.
    2. take your bike to work or speed walk to the next subway stop.
    3. punch dancing is a great workout especially if incorporated into a photo shoot!
