    As of November 27, the Comité Colbert, France's union of luxury brands, will lend its help in developing Chinese creative industries, after signing an agreement with the People's Republic.
  • LVMH Tastes Victory In Suit Against eBay
    A French court has fined eBay $2.5 million, after deciding that the online auction site violated a 2008 order forbidding the sale of luxury conglomerate LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton goods. LVMH owns Louis Vuitton, Givenchy, Marc Jacobs and Christian Dior, among others.
  • JC Penney Pairs With Mango, Boosts Fashion Cred
    JCPenney says it has signed a deal with Mango, one of Europe's leading fast-fashion chains. The new line, which will be called MNG By Mango, is set to debut next fall in 75 stores, rolling out to 600 more by Fall 2011.
  • Is Christian Lacroix Done For?
    On Tuesday, a Paris court approved a restructuring plan for Christian Lacroix that will likely put an end to its haute couture and pret-a-porter clothing operations. The Times of London mourned that "the house of Christian Lacroix was reduced to little more than a small trading office as it crumbled under the weight of debts and losses."
