I think I’m staying in again this Boxing Day. I’m sick so sleeping in this year instead of getting up at the crack of dawn is really needed. Here are my top boxing day visits if I was planning to go out in no particular order. I tend to go to the independent shops and avoid the malls. The clothing at these shops is so much better. There are some choices for the guys too.

  • Holt Renfrew – womenswear and menswear
  • Carte Blanche – womenswear and menswear
  • Shrimpton Couture online sale – womenswear
  • UPC Boutique – womenswear and menswear
  • Fawn – womenswear
  • Off the Cuff – menswear
  • Philip Sparks – menswear
  • George C – womenswear and menswear
  • Jonathan + Olivia – womenswear and menswear
  • Sydney’s – menswear
  • Liv au Lit – womenswear
  • Chasse Gardee – womens and mens shoes
  • Goodfoot – womens and mens shoes

A Twitter friend of mine gave me a great present today, a Google map of all the sales I mentioned in my blogTO post, The Mother of All Boxing Day Sales Post.

Big, Huge, Massive thanks to HyperGraphik Design for putting this together.

Well, it’s been busy. There are over 70 posts related to Boxing Day 2008 on the site. I’m updating the site with new sales as soon as possible, so check back for updates.

I wrote a summary post for blogTO that lists all the brick and mortar boxing day sales that will happen in the city that I know of. You can view that post at The Mother of all Boxing Day Sales Post. It contains most of all the sale details that are listed on I want – I got. I didn’t include the local online sales, you can only see them here. It probably won’t be as up to date as I want – I got.

The Boxing Day Sale Archive is a good place to keep on top of everything. I’ve also written about my top shops on Boxing Day which could help you with planning.

I’m actually staying in this year, I might go out in the afternoon to Jonathan + Olivia.

I want – I got is a mobile friendly site and you can easily check for information during your trek tomorrow. The url is the same, iwantigot.geekigirl.com

I think I have a majority of the sales posted. I anticipate some new posts and some updates late tomorrow night or early morning.

For the retailers I contacted and that got back to me so quickly, I send a hearty thanks.

In order to keep up I suggest you bookmark the Boxing Day Archives as the Event Calendar has become unwieldy with the sheer volume of posts.

If you are a retailer in Toronto and you don’t see your sale, please contact me and let me know about your plans for Boxing Day or week.

So many boxing sales are coming through and I am posting them asap. You have probably been bombarded already this morning.

Some of these sales might last longer than Boxing Day, the ones that don’t are clearly marked.

In order to keep up I suggest you bookmark the Boxing Day Archives.

If you are a retailer in Toronto and you don’t see your sale, please contact me and let me know about your plans for Boxing Day.

Boxing Day sucked, IMO. I did manage to get some strategic items like Curry Cashews from Holt’s. For the most part everything was the same price. I looking high and low for tall flat black boots and was denied everywhere. If I did find something, it was too big, ill fitting, or just plain crap. I’m going to try the Zola’s warehouse sale for some boots.

I did find some things on the 27th at Girl Friday where everything was 50% off. I got 2 nice waist belts from Toronto company Brave Leather. I only have a picture of one, and it’s white and not silver. The other is black with embroidered elastic connecting the leather ends.

I also picked up a cute houndstooth tshirt from Engine9
