The controls are hard to get used to and interacting with Kinect is clumsy but you can see from the product specialists that it just takes getting used to. The game that most responsible for me wanting a Kinect for Xbox 360 is MTV Games’ Dance Central. That’s right, you dance! It’s awesome.

This game is like crack. I danced to Poker Face by Lady Gaga and Funkytown by Lipps Inc. It was delightful. I wanted Singstar before, now I want this. My movements are recorded synchronized with great precision for the game, just amazing.

Unfortunately, this won’t be coming out until the holiday season. The Kinect will launch with 15 titles. Hello Microsoft, you’ve swayed me back to the darkside of videogame addiction. I’m ready to be consumed by game again. It took a controller-less product to break this long silence between us.

WHY: All proceeds from the event will go towards the Boobyball’s BIG (Booby Innovation Grant) as well as Rethink Breast Cancer’s existing programming. BIG is an initiative that was launched at last year’s event – calling upon young breast cancer survivors to submit their “BIG” ideas to assist others diagnosed with the disease. The Booby Innovation Grant’s primary purpose is to encourage and provide new support services for young women with breast cancer.

I was drawn to this Y-3 Fall Winter 2010 – 2011 ad campaign because of this striking picture of Zidane.

Star Wars x Adidas is coming back with a new lineup for Fall Winter 2010 – 2011. This series includes shoes from characters like Han Solo, C-3PO and R2-D2, Boba Fett, and Jabba the Hutt. I’m freaking over the Boba Fett shoes, he’s my favourite Star Wars character ever.

The Jabba sneaks are really cool. They are a great colour, they are high tops and I love the textured leather.  I have to admit I like them more than the Boba Fett ones.

Who doesn’t love some Han in carbonite? That was the theme of these The Empire Strikes Back inspired sneakers. Of course, these won’t come in my size.   The collection even features a Wookie jacket.

  Richemont, the parent company of Chloé, has not commented on news reports that Ralph Toledano has been dismissed as chief executive of the Paris-based fashion house, but people familiar with the company say he has indeed left.

  So far neither Mr. Toledano nor Richemont have commented, possibly as they work out legal terms, but a statement could come tomorrow.

A small group of online media joined Jeanne Beker at The Bay headquarters for a preview of EDIT by Jeanne Beker. Since everyone is doing the celebrity lines why not Jeanne. She at least has the years of fashion knowledge that makes it palatable to me. Jeanne never claims to be a designer. She’s partnered with the Corwick Group from Montreal who takes on the designer duties. It was a great experience to have Jeanne at our disposal and she talked about the industry and the changes that have happened with online. She made a crack about how everyone in the room probably weren’t of an age to remember a Pre-Fashion Television world. However, there were a couple of us that chimed in to correct her. Fashion Television is celebrating 25 years and the release of EDIT by Jeanne Beker is to  to coincide with the anniversary.

This 25 piece capsule collection will be available in 65 Bay stores in September. It consists of Jeanne’s personal selection of silhouettes and colours she feels are must haves. These are wardrobe building pieces. Classic items that you can pair with anything. Separates are chosen in a way so that the collection can serve a work and casual purpose. Casual means denim and there are Jeanne Jeans and Jeanne Jeggings to fit the bill. That’s right jean leggings. A portion of sales from the jeans goes toward Dress for Success, a non-profit organization that provides tools for career development to low-income women,

The standout piece of this collection for me is the Camel Cape Jacket for $195. Prices range from $80 – $195 and sizes from 2 – 16. You can get a chance to meet Jeanne as she will be starting a national flagship store tour in October to promote the line.
