Greta Constantine SKIN for Danier Now Available

Finally the Greta Constantine SKIN for Danier collection has hit the stores. Last week there was a trunk show at the Danier store in Yorkdale with a discount of 35% off. You bet I took advantage of that to get me some product. Kirk and Stephen were on hand to help shoppers choose and style their Greta Constantine SKIN for Danier pieces. I ended up purchasing the grey suede Awi Vest and the black obi belt. Check out all the photos from the Greta Constantine SKIN for Danier Trunk Show You can take a closer look at this 6 piece collection on the Danier Website. images: courtesy of Danier

DUY x Aldo Fall Winter 2011 – 2012

Aldo Shoes is on a collaboration roll too.  During Rouge Fashion Week they partnered with Greta Constantine on some limited edition footwear.  DUY paired up with Aldo during LG Fashion Week for a limited edition collection of accessories. This collection of elegant and slightly rebel shoes and accessories pays homage to his Muse, her sophistication and distinctive sense of aesthetics. Faithful to her vision, the various pieces of this collection integrate the elements that made Daphne Guinness famous: leather, textured materials (python, lace), prints (leopard) and fur (pony), caramel hues and dark shades (grey and black). The FW 2011 ALDO collection of shoes and accessories for DUY is an stunning blend of radical chic, flexibility and accessibility. A collection which truly combines modernism, sophistication and elegance.

i want: Skinny Belts by Brave Leather

Skinny Belts by Brave Leather The whole tying the belt thing is a pretty old trend now but I am only now really enjoying it.  It’s to the point where I want to wear it myself.  That brings Brave Leather into the picture.  Their skinny belts you can tie look great. images: courtesy of Brave Leather

i want: Hand Belt by Delfina Delettrez for CoutureLab

Hand Belt by Delfina Delettrez for CoutureLab I get a real chuckle out of this Hand Belt by Delfina Delettrez made for the website CoutureLab.com. Made from soft black leather and silver. The hands meet in the center of the waist and the belt fastens with a knot tie to the front or side depending on personal style. CoutureLab was created by the co-founder of Net-a-Porter and it’s ultra luxury. This belt costs a whopping $3,353 and can take up to 30 days for production and delivery. Everything on the site is unattainable but a lot of fun to look at. Each product page has very large images with multiple views. The key mission of CoutureLab is to maintain the value of human craftsmanship and keep creative individuality alive. This is CoutureLab and this is my vision of what luxury means. image: couturelab.com

i got, Boxing Day edition

Boxing Day sucked, IMO. I did manage to get some strategic items like Curry Cashews from Holt’s. For the most part everything was the same price. I looking high and low for tall flat black boots and was denied everywhere. If I did find something, it was too big, ill fitting, or just plain crap. I’m going to try the Zola’s warehouse sale for some boots. I did find some things on the 27th at Girl Friday where everything was 50% off. I got 2 nice waist belts from Toronto company Brave Leather. I only have a picture of one, and it’s white and not silver. The other is black with embroidered elastic connecting the leather ends. I also picked up a cute houndstooth tshirt from Engine9
