Louis Vuitton Ready to Wear - Spring 2009
Thursday, October 9, 2008 9:35 1 CommentLouis Vuitton was quite stellar this year. Marc ported the obi belts and the colour palette from his Marc Jacobs collection to LV and they look fantastic. This collection reminds me a lot of YSL’s Africa collection (which I saw parts of in Montreal). I’m sure this was intentional and perhaps a [...]

Christoper Kane Ready to Wear - Spring 2009
Friday, September 19, 2008 10:00 No CommentsI think I’m one of the only people that loved Christoper Kane’s spring collection. It’s getting torn a new asshole on The Fashion Spot.
The shoes are freakin’ ridiculous though.
Rodarte Spring 2009 FTW
Tuesday, September 16, 2008 10:41 No CommentsI don’t usually get Rodarte. I appreciate their work and the complexity, but I’ve always been meh about them. I don’t know what it is about this Spring collection that has me excited. They have basically expanded and refined the look they presented during Spring 2008 and the Fall 2008 seasons. It [...]
Rad Hourani Ready to Wear - Spring 2009
Tuesday, September 16, 2008 10:00 No CommentsThere was no red in this collection, just basic black in different textures and finishes. His work looks simple but it’s all in the details. I wish there was video.
I love these pants!!!!!!!!
I love that Rad, a Canadian, is sticking to his signature long and lean silhouette. You can find Rad’s stuff [...]
The Balenciaga Influence - shoe trends
Saturday, September 6, 2008 10:30 3 CommentsIt’s interesting to watch the progression of a trend. Example the Balenciaga Lego shoe. I’ve been wondering how long it would take to filter down to mass market level. Here is a rough timeline:
Feburary 2007 - Balenciaga debuts the shoe during the Fall/Winter 2007 - 2008 runway show.
June 2007 - Beyonce is [...]

I love this skirt and shirt combination by Jonathan Saunders.
The draping on the skirt is fanastic along with the colour combination.
It’s looks a lot better on Net-a-Porter than did it on the runway in the spring.
Jonathan Saunders is actually available in Toronto at Scarlet Boutique. More info [...]

Friday, August 8, 2008 10:33 2 CommentsKnits by Sacai.
I’ve been turned onto Sacai recently. Abe Chitose worked at Comme des Garçons and Junya Watanabe for 10 years before starting Sacai in 1999. Her knitwear is amazing. Holt Renfrew carries the line and you should really go into the Bloor street store to and check the stuff out, [...]
