Dsquared2 Fall Winter 2010 - 2011 Shoes

Dsquared2 Fall Winter 2010 – 2011 Shoes

I think Rocky Horror and Dr. Frankenfurter when I see the Open Toe Frank N Furter Pumps by Dsquared2 for Fall Winter 2010 – 2011. I’m sure that why they chose the name. It’s a no brainer. They were the talk of the internet after the World Cup opening ceremonies thanks to Alicia Keys. I emailed Todd at Dsquared2 for some high res photos and he sent me another four images. I’m totally blown away. Tommy Ton has photos on his blog and Bryanboy tweeted some pics of him in Florence wearing them. All the styles will be available online starting in August 2010 at Dsquared2.com.  Alicia Keys wore the Open Toe Frank N Furter Pumps that retail for $1,275.00 USD. That shoe will be available online starting in August 2010 at the following: Dsquared2.com, zappos.com and endless.com. images: courtesy of DSquared2

Dean and Dan do the Olympics

We were so relieved to find out that Dean and Dan of DSQUARED2 only dressed the some of the headlining talent for the Opening Ceremonies.  Some of those costumes were just flat out bad. Here’s a breakdown with cute sketches of what Dean and Dan put together. Measha’s gown was my favourite of the bunch.  I didn’t expect something like this from DSQUARED2.  She also wore jewellery from the Measha Collection by Mindham Fine Jewellery.  I love the colours and that they aren’t your standard diamonds. Here’s the breakdown of that beautiful collection Bracelet – Eight stone 123ct citrine “Wilma” bracelet set in 18ct yellow gold – $12,690 Ring – 116.38ct citrine ring containing 1.33ct diamonds set in 18ct white gold – $11,030 Necklace- 41ct peridot and 232.62ct prasiolite neck collar set in 18ct yellow gold – $14,200 Ear Pendants – Matched pear shape 36.15ct golden beryl ear pendants containing 1.1ct diamonds set in 18ct yellow gold – $28,400 I really, really wish Dean and Dan dressed KD Lang, that would have been amazing. DSQUARED² x Holt Renfrew

Lots of collaborations coming out of Holt Renfrew. Just this week I posted about the exclusive Marc by Marc Jacobs tshirt. Today it’s DSQUARED² creating a limited edition Canadian pride hoodie. They are celebrating the collaboration in Vancouver during the Olympics. DSQUARED², synonymous with trend-setting fashion and imaginative designs, will introduce a limited-edition fleece hoodie paying homage to Dean & Dan’s Canadian roots. An event to celebrate the exclusive collaboration between DSQUARED² and Holt Renfrew is slated to take place on Saturday, February 13, at Holt Renfrew’s Vancouver location, located at 737 Dunsmuir Street, between the hours of 5PM and 7PM. The inspiration for this limited edition piece stems from Canadian pride. The hoodie, which retails for $350 CAD, captures Dean and Dan’s all-original and playful sense of style. “Keep it warm. Keep it real. Keep it Canada,” says Dean and Dan Caten, Creative Directors of DSQUARED². “And don’t ever let them see you sweat… in a sweatshirt!” I had a little sticker shock when I heard the price, $350. I don’t know why I’m …
