I’ve decided to change up my “i got…” posts this year and include some of the not necessarily new gems in my closet. To kick it off, a pair of Alexander McQueen heels I got during a Now or Never Sale at Holt Renfrew. I think they are from the Fall Winter 2007 - 2008 collection.

You might remember my last run in with blue mascara. I bought the Cargo stuff in April and I promptly threw it out in the fall. I was left without for a few months and decided to give the Diorshow Mascara in Blue Azure a shot. I had received a tester of some kind of Dior mascara at a fashion event and loved it.

Things I like about Diorshow

• The colour. It’s a great blue that’s not too bright
• The brush is massive
• It’s waterproof
• It doesn’t flake

Things I don’t like

• It took 3 coats to achieve the look in the above picture
• It wasn’t easy putting the mascara on. You really had to wiggle that brush to get the product on the lashes. I really want Ôscillation by Lancôme to come in blue.

Overall, I like the product and it produces quality results even though those results are difficult to achieve. If the Ôscillation comes out with Blue it’s all over for Diorshow; it lengthens and curls without the need of an eyelash curler.

I love that Mariacarla has a major role in this campaign.

How To Participate

1. Well, impress me with your stylist’s prowess. I got inspiration for this contest from this Fashiontribe post. You shall put together a little black dress outfit rocking one of the looks mentioned in the post. They are Cocktail & Dinner, Slick Rocker Chick, Parisian French Girl Style, Hipster Artiste, Ms. Fashionista Fabulous, Bodasious Bombshell, Running Errands, Resort Glamorous and Glam Globetrotter.

Every outfit must include at a minimum:

• Little Black Dress - You can use the same LBD for the 3 entries
• Some sort of cover up. It can be a sweater, a jacket, a scarf, whatever

Shoes

• Handbag
• Jewelry

If your entry doesn’t contain all of those elements it won’t be considered.

2. Enter by leaving a comment with a link to the outfit. Please sign up for a Polyvore account to create your outfit and link it in the comments. There are no conditions on where the outfit comes from, however making it Made in Canada will definitely put you on my radar.

3. To be eligible for the prize pack I need a valid email address - this will be kept secure and private and will not be published.

4. Submissions must be received by Saturday, January 24, 2009 11:59EST. If they come in after Saturday they will not be in the running for the prize.

I’ll announce the winners on Monday, Janurary 26, 2009 and those three individual will each receive a prize pack. The winners will be notified via email so I can get your mailing address.

I’m still loving Rad Hourani’s androgynous style. The pants are killer for me.

It was starting to get cold in Toronto and I needed a puffy down jacket. I have a lot of wool jackets that require way too many layers in the winter. I wanted a jacket that I could wear without a lot of layers. My ski jacket is down, but it’s not long enough.

It happened to be Buy Local Week when I started to I decided that I would buy a Canadian made jacket. My choices were slim, Canada Goose or CDN Spirit. I decided on the Cdn Spirit because Canada Goose is just too expensive, double the price.

I’m very, very happy with my purchase. The jacket is super warm and the fleece cuffs are a nice touch and keeps the wind from blowing up my sleeves. Cdn Spirit is carried by Sporting Life and Holly’s Fashions. I got mine at the Holly’s Fashion shop in the TD Centre.

The picture isn’t the best because I’m pretty lazy right now and can’t be bothered to take one.

Leather pants on are Nina Garcia’s 100, but I would usually say pass on them. However, french designer, Jean Claude Jitrois has changed my mind.

These boots have a armadillo quality to them that I enjoy.

When I was in NYC for the Spring 2008 collections I remember picking up a pair of Jonathan’s shoes to try on. They didn’t have my size and I had no idea how much they cost at that point or I wouldn’t have bothered.
