I have another contest for you here at I want – I got.
I will be choosing 1 winner and they will receive a pair of tickets to The Top of the Burroughes New Years Eve party in Toronto.
How To Participate
1. Well, impress me with your stylist’s prowess. Create a perfect black and white outfit for the Top of the Burroughes New Years Eve party. It can be a women’s or man’s outfit.
2. Enter by leaving a comment with a link to the outfit or buy sending a message to the I want – I got twitter account with the link. You can use whatever method of outfit creation you like. Some sites you can use include Polyvore, Lookit or Shmotter. There are no conditions on where the outfit comes from, however making it Made in Canada will definitely put you on my radar.
3. To be eligible for the prize pack I need a valid email address – this will be kept secure and private and will not be published.
4. Submissions must be received by December 26, 2009 11:59EST. If they come in after the 26th they will not be in the running for the prize.
I’ll announce the winners on December 27, 2009 and those that individual will receive the pair of tickets. The winner will be notified via email.
The Rules
1. The contest is open to residents of Canada. I want – I got is only giving away the tickets, all transportation costs are the responsibility of the winner.
2. I reserve the right to change anything if I have to.
3. Please no explicit pictures or offensive stuff, I won’t pick it anyways.
4. There are no prize substitutions. If you cannot take delivery I will pick another winner.
5. Duplicate outfits will be treated as first post, first choice. Check the comments before posting to make sure.
6. I will accept 1 entry per person.
7. The judging is purely subjective and based on my whim. To win you must put yourself in my head and pick things I would want to wear. Explore I want – I got for ideas

EDIT: (Dec 15, 2009) A Stardoll member says afia14 has been removed from the contest. I haven’t heard anything officially from Stardoll.com
About a week ago I started to receive comments about Stardoll.com and this user afia14 who stole my designs for a contest. I was very confused. I checked Stardoll.com out and it was a paper doll site. A link in the comments brought me to afia14’s horrible profile page. I was still confused.
It took a few more comments for me to get it straight. Stardoll.com was having a contest where you could win $400 dollars in game dollars. All you had to do was submit a clothing sketch. Afia14 decided that Pat McDonagh’s Dare to Wear Love sketch was great and submitted it as her own. Yup, kinda moronic.
I wasn’t going to get involved. I told the kids that were members to report her. I wasn’t going to saying anything publicly but then someone left the a link to the Stardoll Design Contest page.
Afia14’s submission was #1. I had to act now. I sent an email to Stardoll.com using their online form. I let them know that this person is cheating like she’s Tiger Woods or something (I know, I HAD to go there). I send links to my blog page with the comments and the Stardoll.com contest page.
Just to refresh your memory, Pat’s sketch looks like this.

I was invited to the exclusive Toronto gala screening of The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus and its after party. I’m a rabid fan of Terry Gilliam and he will be in attendance. There will be a Q & A with the director himself. Amazing. The fine folks at Brees PR have provided I want – I got four tickets to the show and party, so it’s time for a contest.

I’m not a rabid fan of Twilight (hell I’m not even a fan) but I had to attend to witness this spectacle. The fine folks at Brees PR have provided I want – I got four tickets to the show and party, so it’s time for a contest.

The Interior Design Show 2010 and Weavers Art are putting on a great contest for designers and creative types. Entries are due at the end of the month and the winner will be revealed at the IDS in January 2010.
Weavers Art and the Interior Design Show are calling interior designers, industrial and graphic designers, architects, and artists for rug design submissions to be considered for the Weavers Art new ERA collection. Twelve designs will be selected by a jury and produced as limited edition hand-woven rugs available through Weavers Art exclusively. These designs will be displayed in the exhibition “A New Era: Evolution of Rug Artistry,” presented by Weavers Art at the Interior Design Show, on January 21-24, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. The rugs will be auctioned off and proceeds will go to charity. Charitable beneficiaries include: Rugmark Foundation (to provide education for rug-making communities) and Dare Arts (providing local art-based programs for at-risk children).
MISSION:
to explore and share the collective talents of Canada’s design community promoting creativity and innovation while contributing to the next generation of artists and designers.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

Submissions are to be sent via email in PDF format and are to include:

Weavers Art reserves the right to produce additional rugs according to contractual arrangement between designers and Weavers Art specifying a negotiated fee or royalties as part of the ERA limited edition collection. The 12 selected designers / artists will be informed on September 14, 2009.

I have another contest for you here at I want – I got and this one doesn’t involve pictures of yourself. I hope more of you will enter this time. However, congrats to Jason Howlett who won the Fit-in-15 contest.
I will be choosing 2 winners and they will receive 2 passes to the Secrets of Seduction: an evening celebrating French lingerie design fashion show on July 8, 2009 at the Wychwood Barns.
How To Participate
1. Well, impress me with your stylist’s prowess. You shall put together a summer look of your choice
Every outfit must include at a minimum:
- A Dress or Top and Skirt or Top and Pant/Short combination
- Shoes
- Handbag
- Jewelry
If your entry doesn’t contain all of those elements it won’t be considered.
2. Enter by leaving a comment with a link to the outfit. Please sign up for a Polyvore account to create your outfit and link it in the comments. There are no conditions on where the outfit comes from, however making it Made in Canada will definitely put you on my radar.
