Taken from the 18th floor of the Hyatt. This was the best part of the Pure Divine Spa Party. I was too late to get reservations for a free spa service at Stilllwater. They had a waitlist but you had to hang out in the lobby waiting for someone to call your name in the event that there is a cancellation. The party was on the 18th floor, pure BS. Initially, they said they would call people on the waitlist about cancellations. I’m not desperate enough to stand around in the lobby like a fool, hoping there is a cancellation. If I want to experience Stillwater, I’ll just pay for it. I left due to lack of free alcohol and the party options of pictures and henna tattoos. I did get a gift bag with products from Gillette including this new body soap and scrub they are selling. In addition to the gift bag, I received about 30 samples of the Pure Divine Gentle Exfoliating Body Wash that I managed to give all away at …

My good friends at Brill Communications send me the JR Watkins Sampler which consists of: All-Natural Lavender Hand & Cuticle Salve All-Natural Lemon Body Oil All-Natural Lemon Hand & Cuticle Salve Aloe & Green Tea Hand & Body Lotion Lemon Cream Shea Butter Mango Shea Butter Peppermint Foot Cream Vanilla Hand & Body Lotion 100% all-natural botanicals, essential oils and other natural ingredients are the foundation for all of our personal care products and remedies. In order to maintain the optimum freshness and efficacy of our natural ingredients, we use the smallest amount necessary of safe, time-tested preservatives to maintain the integrity of our natural products. All daily use, personal care products must contain some form of preservation. I haven’t tried the body oil yet, but everything else smells amazing. The creams and body butters aren’t greasy. Good alternative to Burt’s Bees in my mind.
Susie Love Jewelry This weekend I had the pleasure of meeting uber-personality Susie. She opened her blue bag of goodies and pulled out all kinds of jewelry. I picked up 2 rings. Her jewelry can be found at Melanie’s Closet (829 Dundas St West), Model Citizen (913 Dundas St West), Mink (550 College), Grateful Head (1006 Dundas St West) in Toronto.
I accepted an Editor position with GLOSS Magazine. Started by former blogTOer, Nicole Stewart, Gloss is the latest edition to the Canadian web landscape. It’s a coast to coast magazine and I’m happy to be part of the team. My first post on the New Era Store is now up.
They make them talk.
Blade Runner – The Ultimate Collectors Edition DVDs One of my favourite movies ever. I hope there is a lot of Roy stuff. I love Roy.
Maria Serrano Shoes My black gladiator sandals bit the dust early this summer. I replaced them with these white ones. They should last much longer because of the quality upgrade. Maria Serrano shoes is a Toronto based company that sells shoes made in Argentina. Our intention is to feature new and different lines of shoes that are beautifully wearable. Every one of our shoes is made in Argentina and exclusive to Canada alone. We will carry limited quantities of each style so running into someone on the street with “your†shoes won’t happen. I also got these red girly flat shoes, which is a little unusual for me. If I’m wearing flats they are running shoes, so this is a departure. I purchased them at a small sample sale I was invited to. You can also get her stuff online or at the small number of events she attends. Watch her space for details.

Just thought maybe you could advertise our specials for the month…we’re promoting $8 moor mud bath therapies this month….the bath is amazing for those who just want to release stress and relax. Regularly priced at $35 it is one of our signature services and most sought out by Torontonians who just need to relax. Fashiontainment. I’m hearing this word all over the place now. Fashionainment. I hate it. I hate the way it sounds. I hate the way it feels when I say it. It rubs me the wrong the same way as Fashionista. Please, don’t call me a Fashionista. I don’t rip your head off when you do because I’m polite. Believe me, in my head, I’m playing out the Roy-Tyrell scene and you’re Tryell. I understand what Fashionainment is suppose to convey; but it’s an ugly and lazy word.
Yarborough Jewelry Two very similar necklaces, the difference is very subtle. I love both of them. Topaz Feather Pendant Necklace Topaz Feather Jumble Necklace image: yarboroughjewelry.com
Cloth Label Jewelry This Australian company makes necklaces out of cotton fabrics. This is very scarf like. I wish I could find a way to tie one like that.
Loeffler Randall shoes and clothes I’ve previously gushed about Loeffler Randall shoes. They have a couple very cute coats to go along with their great shoes. Lets not forget the shoes after the jump…

Aéropostale is coming to Canada. I was in Dufferin Mall on Sunday and saw the tell tale signs. Click the link to see where other stores will be located in Canada.
I’ve been plagued the last few days with some nasty network and server issues with my hosting company. It seems they have given the green light and everything should honky dory again. Sorry about the downtime folks. Anita
I had some network issues over the last couple days with my host. It seems to be resolved now. Yay!
I love Kimberly Baker earrings. However, this leaf bracelet does trump everything.
Rupert Sanderson shoes I’m excited over these shoes from the fall winter 2007 2008 collection. Every Rupert Sanderson shoe is named after a variety of Daffodil. Hello! I love you. The perfect menswear shoe I love this feminine version of the spectator shoe.
