Those Prada turbans are damn small

So Prada has made the turban a hot item for spring 2007. I actually got to touch one in person at Holt Renfrew the other day. These things are tiny. I have a pretty small head and I couldn’t fit into a medium. Is Stam’s head that tiny? I think the turban cost $250 bucks. I also saw the knockoff version from M by Madonna for H&M this weekend, it’s a hell of a lot cheaper ($14.99). Man is that collection boring, I’m sure it will sell though. As you can guess, the H&M version wasn’t quite as nice as Prada.

The camera loves me

I’m going to be on tv again. This has been the year of the television appearances for yours truly. People are even telling me that I should change careers, lol. I hate tv though, and after being on it I still hate it. Doesn’t matter what you do, you always end up looking like an idiot. I was glad they left the snorting laugh after the technosexual description in the Citytv International CK in2u clip, that was hilarious. I’m not nervous or anything in front of the camera but it’s surreal. That being said, I probably wouldn’t turn down another interview, what the hell is the matter with me? Opening Soon and Citytv International were two strange, out of the blue, random things that happen on the fly short. The filming of both clips took place over a 24hr period. I will be on Opening Soon by Design on HGTV. It all stems from this article I wrote for blogTO on Aiyoku Cardio Lounge. In that post I write It’s Thursday night and I’m on …

Technosexuals, me and Amber MacArthur

I somehow managed to get myself on television on Friday. Citytv international’s Amber MacArthur was doing a piece on the new Calvin Klein perfume in2u and I guess I was the subject matter expert. The marketing is just nutty for this brand. Here is an example of the crap they are coming up with. “We have envisioned this as the first fragrance for the technosexual generation,” said Mr. Murry, using a term the company made up to describe its intended audience of thumb-texting young people whose romantic lives are defined in part by the casual hookup. Last year, the company went so far as to trademark “technosexual,” anticipating it could become a buzzword for marketing to millennials, the roughly 80 million Americans born from 1982 to 1995. A typical line from the press materials for CK in2u goes like this: “She likes how he blogs, her texts turn him on. It’s intense. For right now.” She likes how he blogs, her texts turn him on. BARF! This drivel is just not computing in my brain. …

Vogue agrees with me

I thought I was the only one that liked Kirsten Dunst’s dress at the Oscars but no, Vogue agrees with me. Most people disliked it and were bashing the collar. I love the collar and thought the dress was beautiful and most important different. Different from all the other plain, boring, unimaginative, not fashion forward, safe, stupid dresses out there. via Fashionista.com – the cool new fashion blog

KRZR me!

I was asked to preview the new Motorola KRZR and since I love to give my opinions to whoever will listen I said yes. 🙂 I met with Ian from Hill & Knowlton to pick up the phone. He handing me this snazzy metal briefcase. Jesus, I said, am I on some kind of secret mission. The photo below was taken with the KRZR. Not bad at this size. I’m a Moto Q user so I’m not loving the phone as much as I would like. I really miss my email access :(. I said I would use the KRZR so I bit the bullet and switched the handset yesterday. Yes, that’s email withdrawal in less than 24hours. I’m pathetic. If I wasn’t already spoiled with a smartphone I think I would love the KRZR. I’m still getting used to the phone. Uploading my contacts, calender and tasks was super easy thanks to Windows XP and Outlook. The MP3 player function is what stands out to me from my initial usage of the phone. It …
