Fit-in-15 Quick Tips Part 2

Fit-in-15 Quick Tips Part 2

Looking for easy ways to get Fit-in-15.

Here are a few more tips to help you add 15 minutes of activity to your day. See the first group of tips here.

  • Kids. Parents, you have an excuse to get active just sitting there. Your children. Go outside and throw a baseball, shoot some basketball or kick the soccer ball around. Take a relaxing bike ride with the family or a nice after dinner walk with the family. If your kids are active, think about joining them.
  • I attend a lot of events. When they are close to each other it’s easy to take the 15 – 20 minutes to walk to the next party. This helps if you are drunk too. Gives you some time to sober up πŸ™‚
  • Heading to the beach for some relaxation. Bring a frisbee and toss it around. It could be with friends or your dog.
  • Stairs, stairs, stairs. I’m a stairs junky. Avoiding escalators and elevators is another easy way to add activity to the day. No one is looking for you to climb the CN Tower or the Casa Loma stairs, start small.

You don’t need a trainer and a whole routine to get active. Hell, you don’t even need a gym. Use the KISS principle; Keep It Simple Stupid. Start with easy entry things like walking or playing with the kids. As you get used to being active regularly you broaden your horizons. I like to rollerblade and play squash in addition to the fit-in-15 activity I do daily.

Don’t forget to enter The I want Γ’β‚¬β€œ I got Fit-in-15 Contest. Deadline is June 26, 2009.
