Fritz Helder & the Phantoms – nuff said

Fritz Helder & the Phantoms performed at their CD release party last night and rocked the Great Hall with a flawless, awe inspiring performance. These guys are going to be big. If you weren’t there last night, you ain’t vogue baby. In my humble opinion this is the only relevant band in fashion right now, period. I spotted a lot of fashion people taking part: my designer crush that I never talk to Jeremy Laing, Krane designer Ken Chow, one half of Juma and I want – I got fan Jamil, fashion hero Sonja Andic of TSF, industry insider Gail McInnes, the very sweet Shinan Govani of the National Post, stylist and birthday girl Jessica Tjeng and Project Runway Canada alum Michael Hatley. I’m sure there were others too, I either didn’t know who you were or I didn’t see you. After the show was the after party at the Social where we were treated to another show Village People style. It was awesome. I want a big feather headdress now! Their CD is out …

Swayzak @ The Mod Club

Swayzak played to a small but appreciative audience at the Mod Club on November 6, 2007. It was really cool to talk to them after the set. I thanked them for the funky beats that had me dancing like a fool.

My Circa Nightclub experience in GLOSS: The Fashion Magazine

I wrote an article on Circa for Gloss Magazine. Check it out. The club king of New York brings Circa to Toronto It’s opening night of Circa Nightclub, shall we take a peek? It’s Thursday night, and I’m at the opening of Peter Gatien’s Circa Nightclub. New York’s club king is hoping to enchant Toronto and the world with four floors of art, technology, cinema and pop culture mishmash. The line snakes around the building but, with VIP access, there is no waiting.

The view from here is nice

Taken from the 18th floor of the Hyatt. This was the best part of the Pure Divine Spa Party. I was too late to get reservations for a free spa service at Stilllwater. They had a waitlist but you had to hang out in the lobby waiting for someone to call your name in the event that there is a cancellation. The party was on the 18th floor, pure BS. Initially, they said they would call people on the waitlist about cancellations. I’m not desperate enough to stand around in the lobby like a fool, hoping there is a cancellation. If I want to experience Stillwater, I’ll just pay for it. I left due to lack of free alcohol and the party options of pictures and henna tattoos. I did get a gift bag with products from Gillette including this new body soap and scrub they are selling. In addition to the gift bag, I received about 30 samples of the Pure Divine Gentle Exfoliating Body Wash that I managed to give all away at …
