Hi I just wanted to let readers know that if your comment goes into my moderation queue, it’s not because I don’t like you. I’ve been getting bombarded with spam, which was manageable until the trackback spam started. So I have had to add an extra layer of security on the comments. Hi, I got an email today with a person requesting invoices from me. Of course I didn’t know WTF she was talking about and thought she was a scammer. I wrote back a fairly nasty email cause I hate scammers. For some reason, that baffles my mind, she thought I was associated with a particular company. Amazingly, she didn’t have the contact information for this company even though they had been billed. I DON’T WORK FOR ANY OF THESE COMPANIES. I want – I got is NOT a business. Do you see any advertising here. I don’t make money off this, it’s purely for pleasure.

The holiday season really brings the sales out. I’ve been listing as many christmas, warehouse and sample sales I can find. You can see all the new sales posts by viewing the Sales Category. I try to keep my Google Calender updated with information also. I invite my readers to comment on any of the sales they have attended. I don’t get out to all of these and I’m sure others would like to hear of your experiences.

I’m seeing a lot of search queries for “i want i got”, “geek girl” and of course my name. So, I can only assume that Variety readers are finding me, yay. An incorrect link for my site was in the mag :(. There was no i in geekigirl.iwantigot.com. Anyways, thank you curious readers. It means a lot for you to take the time to search me out. The new layout brought some new features I should mention. Category RSS feeds – On the Category Page you can find RSS feeds for any particular category you wish to watch You can still subscribe to I want – I got via email. Using the subscribe feature in the Get posts via Email section You can subscribe to the I want – I got feed by using the subscribe feature in the I want – I got delivered to you section I’ve added my del.icio.us links. I’ll try to update the list with interesting fashion news I find. You can see recent comments in the sidebar The contact me page will allow you to send me a message without having to open your email. You can view all website links on the Links page. Only friends of I want – I got will be displayed in the sidebar.

I’ve finally changed the look around here. Took me a long time to find a template I like. I could try and do one myself but I really don’t have the time. I hope to have a new logo to unveil in the new few weeks. So watch out for that. The Dada has nothing to do with this post. I just like looking at it.

So I started this blog just over a year ago now. June 21, 2005 to be exact. It’s been pretty exciting, I never expected anyone to read this damn thing, but you do. Thanks so much readers. Blogging here also led me to other things like blogTO.com. Since about April I’ve been contributing fashion posts to blogTO.com. I post about the Toronto fashion scene and interview designers.
