Easy way to my heart is through sunglasses. MYKITA always has great collaborations and I’m loving the Damir Doma Spring Summer 2014 ones. There are two styls, Vivien and Rita. I like the combination of transparent material and wisps of colour that penetrate throughout. “VIVIEN” & “RITA” are a statement, the two oversized butterfly-style frames are flamboyant, eccentric and larger than life. They are awash with colours that were infused into the transparent material employed: a frozen melange of rust-red, green, aubergine and blue colour clouds. This two new sunglasses models are available in three colour combinations: Cloudy Blue (transparent with dashes of ink blue), Cloudy Brown (transparent with rust-brown hues) and Cloudy Purple (transparent with rust red, green, aubergine-coloured and blue colour clouds). Converse is killing it for Fall 2013. There is the Maison Martin Margiela collaboration and one featuring an iconic Canadian institution, Hudson’s Bay Company. Those of you that covet Hudson’s Bay Company stripes, these are the sneaker for you. Available in the unisex Converse Jack Purcell, Duck Boot and women’s only Helen silhouettes, each style embodies the Hudson’s Bay Company wool point blanket stripes, with features such as threaded stitching and antique brass eyelets, and the Jack Purcell and Hudson’s Bay logos on the foot bed. These silhouettes also carry an official “Seal of Quality” maintaining the authenticity of Hudson’s Bay Company. I talked about changing up my shoe game but Converse keeps calling me back. This collaboration with Maison Martin Margiela is pretty awesome. “Converse is thrilled to partner with Maison Martin Margiela. I was on set with 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target the other day for a photoshoot and I happened to get an up close look at the upcoming collection. I like the Target collaborations. I have a couple dresses from the Jason Wu collection that I still wear and love. I was so disappointed that Target didn’t land in Canada before the Parabal Gurung collaboration hit the stores. It looked really good. 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target is the first designer collaboration to hit Target stores in Canada. Whenever I end up liking something pink, it’s usually a perfect garment. This is one of these times. This jacket is just gorgeous. Simone Rocha is an Irish designer who debuted in London for the Spring 2011 collections. The coat is a knitted wafer mesh that doesn’t really show up in these photos very well. If you check the Moda Operandi site you’ll be able to zoom and check out the beauty of the fabric. I love a great full skirt so it’s no surprise I love this coat. Knit Mesh Coat by Simone Rocha is $1,465 and is available online at Moda Operandi. A little birdy (Okay it was Nicholas Mellamphy’s Instagram) told me that Simone Rocha is also available at The Room at The Hudson’s Bay. I’m pretty sure this coat is one of the buys!
