I didn’t care much for Marc’s ode to the 80s this season. I do appreciate that Marc has the funds to do a pure fashion collection and not care about sales. Madonna gets my approval. I was a little worried about this ad campagn. I loved the fall winter 2009 collection from Louis Vuitton and I didn’t want Madonna ruining that. I hope you people remember her Versace ads. Horrible. She seems to pull it off in these images. I loved the Marc Jacobs shoes from Spring 2008. It looks like Net a Porter is actually selling the Marc Jacobs Backward heel shoes. I haven’t seen them for sale anywhere yet. I was hoping Holt Renfrew would get a few in so I could at least touch them. They are damn expensive though, $1100!

I didn’t go to Marc Jacobs. I was already back in Toronto suffering from culture shock at TIFF parties. I loved the show, I thought it was a lot of fun and the presentation was excellent (video after the jump). The clothes were completely unwearable in my mind; the shoes and bags were divine. Read his rant on WWD, it’s hilarious.
