No problem. I left out Kensington Market because I don’t think it’s worth the time to visit.
Stella Luna does rock the house though, check it out.

    Hi ,

I recently went to this fabulous consignment shop in New Jersey called Duet, http://www.dueteveryday.com. I just bought a real beautiful Birkin bag there and more than 50% retail…If you are in NYC you should check it out.

Re: Ex-Toggery being listed as a vintage shop - Ex-Toggery has a store on Avenue Road just north Lawrence that is all designer label clothing and everything within 2 years old, so I don’t think it should be in the vintage shop list. It should be in the consignment shop list, just like Elegante Limited.

I’ve been to Ex-Toggery and I’ve seen things that are more than 2 years old there, so I don’t agree with that statement. But it is technically a consignment shop. Will I change this post, probably not.

I’m looking for locations for consignment stores where I could sell my stuff. Got lots of stuff, mostly clothes & kitchenware. Any ideas? Thanks.

Paula. This post has a list of clothing consignment stores in Toronto. Where are you?

I can’t help you with the Kitchenware.

    Hi,

Do you know of any consignment shops in Toronto that would consider non-designer clothes and accessories (Gap, unrecognized name, etc.). Also do you know of any shops that accept brand new giftware (photo albums, perfume, etc.)

    Having trouble finding any,
    Karyn

I don’t know of any personally. Non-designer clothes just don’t have the resale value.

You could always try to sell them yourself using Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.

I don’t know of any places that do brand new giftware. Again I would suggest Facebook or Craigslist.

Does anyone (Anita?) know which consignment store would be the best place to resell my Hermes Kelly bags? I’m looking for a place who would have the clientele for this kind of item. Who would also have a good reputation with being fair and honest with the consignee (me).

Any opinions on a better market in Montreal?

Thanks for any advice you can give.

    Kim

Just an FYI. I shop regularly at a great Consignment store in Port Perry. If you’re out and about on the weekend, it’s a great drive out, lots of interesting shops and restaurants in a small town on Lake Scugog.

From casual to dress, designer to brand name, never know what treasure she’ll have.
Once she’s met you, she’ll have your size and style down pat, then you can call or e-mail and she’ll let you know what she’s got for you. And….even better, she’s fun.
    Happy Shopping! Cheryl
P.S. There’s a B&B next door if you have drinks with dinner, or spend the evening at the Great Blue Heron Casino.

    Hey ladies
There’s two stores I know of that will not sell your non-brand name clothing on consignment, but WILL give you credit in the stores (basically, a trade). One is Common Sort on Queen Street E. of Broadview; the other one is Melanie’s Closet which I believe is located around Dundas and Ossington. Google them. Full disclaimer: Melanie I know personally and she is a fabulous lady! But she also has great and unique taste. Don’t go with random items. Choose carefully.
