i got, then returned
I purchased two items from the Gap Designer Collections, a Thakoon dress and a Rodarte shirt. The dress I was iffy from the start but I took it home to try it on with shoes and all that. It didn’t fit the way I would have liked.

I am very happy with my sleeveless Rodarte shirt though. Bloor Street is the only location selling these designs, btw.

Question: how well are the designer clothes selling? Was the Bloor st. store almost sold out or did people not even know what the collection was?
A lot of the styles are gone, however there was a lot of what they had left. I had not idea it was coming to canada at all. i’m a little pissed that gapcanada didn’t email me about it. hrmp
Ya, I agree with returning that dress. A bit too “froofy”. BTW, it was nice to see you again yesterday at week of style.
There were a couple things I really didn’t like about the dress.
1. The fit. It looks okay from the front. The sleeves we just a tad too big. When I turn 90 degrees, you can see all the excess fabric just blow me up like a ballon.

Check the photos in of those views. I really loved the skirt portion, although the belt thing was weird.
2. all white you are just asking for trouble

I go this dress, loved it wore it with patent leather Vince Camuto shoes - loved it and got a lot of comments. not to mention a whole lot of bangles.

I thought used to really like the Gap. The clothes were inexpensive, it had great sales, I could wear them for work or for play… Lately, it hasn’t done anything for me. In retrospect, what I probably liked most was how it enabled my shopping bulimia.
