Fashion, i got, Shoes

I’m out of the patent club

I recently blogged about buying these great patent shoes. For those who haven’t read the comments, the damn things broke on me after I wore them for the first time. I took them back to Town Shoes and I thought I would get an immediate refund/exchange. This was clearly a manufacturer’s defect and I have a right to a new pair of shoes. Well, I was told that they would have to go to repair first and then they would see if they could fix them. These shoes couldn’t be repaired, I could tell. I was told it was policy and didn’t’ really push the issue. They would go to repair and I wouldn’t have to pay. I was told it would take a week and they would call.

Thursday was a week and I had no call. So I decided to give them a call and find out what the hell was going on. They found the shoes in the store and they were still broken. I was prepared to give them hell about them not even being sent out when I was offered a store credit or exchange. Town Shoes has renewed my faith in them again. It was starting to waver.

I returned to the store and got a credit note. I found out from their shoe guru that the shank of the shoe had broken. The shank is a piece of metal that runs along the length of the shoe. I decided not to get the same pair again. I’m renewing my boycott of Chinese made shoes. I’m sorry guys, you had two chances now.

I turned my sites to black boots. I really needed a sexier pair than the flat ones I have now.
I tried on two boots before I decided.

This is the brown version of the boot. I tried on the black. I loved the heel on these boots. There were a little pointer than I wanted but they were comfortable and light. Unfortunately they didn’t fit my calves very well. I passed.

There were very pirate like. I liked them a lot too. They fit my calf great. You can’t really wear these with dresses well, to me they are little to casual. They would look hot with pants though.

I ended up putting my store credit towards a pair of boots from Elle. They are made in Brazil. I never have trouble with Brazilian shoes.

I love the heel shape. The length of the boot is awesome, it stop a few inches below the knee. Square toes rock.

So I’m out of the patent club. Once I can afford the Christian Louboutin’s then I’ll join again.
