Kate Moss, then and now

Oh No They Didn’t had a post with a sampling of Kate Moss covers from 1992 to now. It was interesting. Love her or hate her a 25 year career modeling is pretty impressive. Look how young and innocent she is in this early photo.

Okay Steve, I take everything mean I ever thought of you back.

I attended the Motorola RAZR 2 Party last week at Kool Haus. I have to thank Ian from Hill & Knowlton for the invite. I brought Danielle from Final Fashion with me. The venue was draped with white cloth and had weird ethereal lighting. We drank, ate and chatted with the Motorola models. The crowd was a little strange at first, mostly suits and their significant others. The atmosphere changed once our friends started to slowly stream in. The music was great from the start and DJ Steve Aoki was coming up. I admit that prior to him hitting the decks I haven’t had anything nice to say about him; another L.A. hipster blah, blah. However, I had a change of heart after he begun. He played great music, seemed unpretentious and professional. No, I didn’t talk to him, just observations. Anyone that can make me dance my ass off with great friends around is amazing in my book.

Fritz Helder & the Phantoms – nuff said

Fritz Helder & the Phantoms performed at their CD release party last night and rocked the Great Hall with a flawless, awe inspiring performance. These guys are going to be big. If you weren’t there last night, you ain’t vogue baby. In my humble opinion this is the only relevant band in fashion right now, period. I spotted a lot of fashion people taking part: my designer crush that I never talk to Jeremy Laing, Krane designer Ken Chow, one half of Juma and I want – I got fan Jamil, fashion hero Sonja Andic of TSF, industry insider Gail McInnes, the very sweet Shinan Govani of the National Post, stylist and birthday girl Jessica Tjeng and Project Runway Canada alum Michael Hatley. I’m sure there were others too, I either didn’t know who you were or I didn’t see you. After the show was the after party at the Social where we were treated to another show Village People style. It was awesome. I want a big feather headdress now! Their CD is out …

cul de sac design ceramics The blue ceramics stuck out the most with me, but you can get items in other colours. They also do custom work if their traditional designs don’t do it for you. I personally like the animals especially the owl. You can find cul de sac designs at this season’s One of a Kind Show and the Gardiner Museum. images: culdesacdesign.com
