Dancing at the Adelaide Club

Adelaide Club 30th anniversary party
So, I just joined a new gym. It was a rather traumatizing experience. My old gym, The Wellington, was my hangout for about 5 years. I knew the staff and many of the squash players there. Extreme Fitness took over after The Sports Clubs of Canada went tits up. At first, I figured they would keep the squash program considering how many people were at the gym for squash. I was wrong, they are dumping the squash program to add internet lounges and stupid yoga studios. I was really pissed off, so I left for the Adelaide Club.

The Adelaide Club is the type of club the Wellington only dreams of being (Yes, I’m really bitter). It’s much cleaner with better facilities and they have squash courts that won’t be going anywhere anytime soon. The owner is a big squash fan and player. The club actually had about 12 courts back in the day. To the Wellington’s credit, they did have the some great squash courts. So good that I ignored the rest of the club’s faults.

Adelaide Club 30th anniversary party
Well it’s weird being the new kid on the block at the Adelaide so I decided to attend the 30th anniversary party hoping to meet some of the members and basically party my ass off. I accomplished both things that night and had a great time. None of these pictures include me. I was gone when they were taken; off to a birthday party. I did hear from a little birdy that the party went on till the wee hours of the morning though.

I feel a lot more comfortable at the Adelaide now. I guess stumbling and dancing around the place drunk has that effect. Now, I just have to get over the fact that Shawn from Bustle is a squash player there. I’m pretty sure both of us never expected to see each other there.
