I’m not going to get all analytical about this shoot, the fashion industry and race. I do enough of that outside this space.  I’m just going to enjoy this beautiful spread and share it with people. When I cut my hair many people asked if I would ever go blonde. The answer is no but it looks good here.  The contrast is much nicer with her skin tone than mine. This year I wanted to wear more nail polish. I buy tons of the stuff but never wear it. I would get depressed looking at my nail kit when adding newly bought polish. There were ones still unworn and in their original packaging. My friends at Brill Communications told me that I needed to try Deborah Lippmann’s Addicted To Speed topcoat. It was a life changer they said. I was skeptical but I liked Deborah Lippmann nail polish so I gave it a shot. I tracked it down at Holt Renfrew and ended up buying a Spring 2011 NARS nail polish called Desperado which they describe as vintage bronze. Addicted To Speed was a life changer, I kid you not. It’s the fastest top coat out there and it only sticks to nail polish. I’m loving, loving this product. Complete and utter fanboy. I get excited for chips in my nails because it means time to change colours. That’s how easy it is to do my nails. I wasn’t sure I would like Desperado initially. …

I saw the news of the new H&M Conscious Collection. I didn’t think much of it until I saw this campaign shot. I need this dress, it’s just got summertime written all over it. I think the snow is already getting to me. Sustainability is a long term trend at H&M and this April as part of the focus on sustainability H&M will introduce the Conscious Collection – The collection which is for women, men and children is made from enviromentally – adapted and greener materials such as organic cotton, Tencel® and recycled polyester. H&M’s designers have been inspired by different shades of white, one of the most important colours this Spring. A minimalist, tailored look is combined with romantic lace, Broderie Anglaise, frills and draping.
