Um you’re on WWD

I was in meetings all morning and when I finally returned to my desk my twitter replies were blowing up. Something is up, I thought to myself, I haven’t even tweeted yet. Turns out WWD did a street style post for LG Fashion Week and I was snapped with my friend Caroline Shaheed. The title of this post was the best email subject line I received all day. It best represents the shock of finding out. Can you say freaking the fuck out! I’m stunned by this and doing a little happy dance. It’s silly but I have to admit I totally love this. All the shots are stealthy ones, I love it. I remember photographer James Lourenco taking our photo as we walked but didn’t think anything of it at the time. I’m so happy I’m not carrying a Starbucks coffee cup in this shot, ha ha. You can see the rest of the street style shots from LG Fashion Week at They Are Wearing: Toronto – EyeScoop on WWD.com. i got: M.A.C. Clutch by Rebecca Minkoff

The classic, minimal and versatile black handbag was a massive whole in my ridiculously large collection of handbags at home. I had the all the colours of the rainbow and various fabrics but not handbag 101: black, functional, multipurpose. I would always admire the Rebecca Minkoff M.A.B. (Morning After Bag) Bag at the a2zane store on Queen. I finally bit the bullet at a2zane and purchased the M.A.C. Clutch which is smaller than the M.A.B. bag. The strap can be adjusted to shorten it or it can be removed. I wanted a smaller bag because I have to many big bags. Big bags always result in me carrying more crap I don’t need. With a smaller bag, I have to be strategic with what I decide to carry with me, eliminated a lot of useless things. It’s only been a few days and obsessed with this bag. I love the shape, the size and the looks. The strap is a great length. I’m in love with the bag and it has filled so many wardrobe …

i want: Gap Summer 2011

I picked my top pieces from the Gap’s Spring 2011 delivery and I’ve decided to do the same to the summer 2011 delivery. Summer is a time to wear shorts and short skirts but I’m really enjoying the maxi length skirt during the summer. Last summer, two of my favourite maxi length dresses were from the Gap.  This summer two of my top three picks are maxi dresses.  I like the relaxed fit of the jeans.  They look comfortable but also fitted. images: courtesy of the Gap

Celine Fall Winter 2011 – 2012 Shoes and Handbags

The handbags in the Celine Fall Winter 2011 – 2012 collection are very slick and look ready to hold your fashionable tech gadgets. I like the minimal use of branding and logos on the bags. I normally hate these pointy 80s style stilettos but something about these Celine ones are making me rethink that hate. images: eastnews.ru
