SOL(e)D! aka Anita’s Birthday Party

I’m celebrating my birth with one of my favourite magazines, the Worn Fashion Journal. Join me and the Worn Team celebrate the closing of the ART & SOLE exhibition. The ART & SOLE exhibition (May 21 – June 6) will feature twenty-four interpretations of that understated fash classic, Keds. The exhibit will close with a v. fashionable gala (cocktails! hor d’oevres! 1960s Motown/Stax/Hi Records music courtesy of Shake a Tail DJs!) and live auction fundraiser which will give our readers the chance to bid on these wonderful creations, with a portion of proceeds supporting Fashion Cares (in support of ACT). The animated image above displays some of the shoes in the collection. Attendees of SOL(e)D! will also have access to all exhibits in the museum, cheap drinks and free food. Tickets are $28 and also include 2 year subscription to WORN. Tickets can be purchased online SOL(e)D! Spring 2010 Footwear Sketch Preview

I was reading the Footwear News section of WWD and came across designer sketches for the Spring 2010 collection. I find the different drawing styles fascinating in footwear sketches. The impossible arch and exaggerated foot proportions draw me in. Rupert Sanderson, Alexandra Neel, Giuseppe Zanotti, Max Kibardin, Omelle images: Spring Sketch Preview – WWD.com

i want: Omelle Fall 2009 Shoes

I was reading nitrolicious and she posted the shoes from the Omelle Fall 2009 collection. There were some interesting choices and fur was predominate. I fell in love with these are first sight. They are one of the shoes that you look at puzzled at first but they suck you into their randomness. I haven’t seen a shoe with this type of detailing yet. I have a feeling they look fantastic on. These booties are very cool too. They look like felt to me, which would be an interesting development. I’m still looking for my over the knee boots, these would make a good option Yup, no fur in my choices. They weren’t completely hideous, but definitely not my style. i want: Supra NS Sneakers

Supra NS Sneakers High-tops, high-tops, high-tops. I’m all about the high-top and the Supra NS are speaking to me. I’m dying for a pair of gold sneakers and these are nice. However, I love the fabric treatment on the grey option. The multibuckle shoe is my favorite style of the three Available at STOLENRICHES®. 734 Queen St. West Toronto 647.428.7497 Info@stolenriches.ca

Italy at Your Feet VIP Cocktail

I was invited to the “Italy at Your Feet” VIP cocktail, presented by Browns, the Italian Trade Commission (I.C.E) and ANCI (Associazione Nazionale Calzaturieri Italiani) by Fashion Magazine. It was hosted by Browns at the flagship Bloor street location. It was a great excuse to celebrate Italian shoes, drink Prosecco and eat delicious, delicious prosciutto.
