About a month and a half ago I was asked to speak at Fashion Weekly Fashion Camp. I had just come off of the Building Relationships with Word of Mouth and PR Practitioners While Maintaining Credibility with Your Audience panel at PodCamp Toronto and I thought I should take the opportunity to continue to work on my public speaking. I don’t have a problem speaking in front of people as many who know me can attest. I enjoy it and I don’t feel any anxiety about speaking to an audience staring back at you. My only worry is that people take away something from my blatherings and that there is a little bit of value there. 🙂 Then again, maybe I just like to hear myself talk. Fashion Weekly Fashion Camp A jam packed day seminar event hosted by special guest speakers from our very own fashion and entertainment industry! Be sure to meet and greet with industry’s top fashion designers, specialists, photographers, accessory designers, entrepreneurs and many more! FW’s main focus for the event …
I wasn’t a fan of the Fall 2009 – 2010 collection. It wasn’t for me with the waders and boxy cuts. For Resort, it’s a much softer Prada. Miuccia showed a collection influenced by the beach. It was a much simpler collection, relying more on colour combination and prints for the wow factor. The shoes look walkable, also in contrast to the disaster that was Spring Summer 2009. I loved the print work from the Spring 2009 collection, so it was nice to see prints making a comeback. See the whole collection at style.com. images: Prada Resort 2010 – Fashion News – WWD.com.
Sasha and Chanel, what fun for me. This campaign was shot by the Kaiser himself. images: the Fashion Spot.
Givenchy Fall 2009 – 2010 Ad Campaign The Givenchy Fall 2009 – 2010 Ad Campaign hit me hard. I love everything about it. The severe looks and stark background. Love, love, love the lipstick. I’m hoping the rest of the fall offerings are as good as this. images: WWD.com

Nike Hijack Mid Green Mist I’m not a big Nike fan but I’m loving the green and yellow gradient on these sateen sneakers.
What a relief from Madonna’s crotch this Louis Vuitton ad is. I have to admit I really enjoy this picture with the three space traveling trailblazers Sally Ride, Buzz Aldrin and Jim Lovell. The core values ads do a good job hiding Louis Vuitton, the viewer ends up concentrating on the people in those shots then the handbags. image: WWD.com
I’m celebrating my birth with one of my favourite magazines, the Worn Fashion Journal. Join me and the Worn Team celebrate the closing of the ART & SOLE exhibition. The ART & SOLE exhibition (May 21 – June 6) will feature twenty-four interpretations of that understated fash classic, Keds. The exhibit will close with a v. fashionable gala (cocktails! hor d’oevres! 1960s Motown/Stax/Hi Records music courtesy of Shake a Tail DJs!) and live auction fundraiser which will give our readers the chance to bid on these wonderful creations, with a portion of proceeds supporting Fashion Cares (in support of ACT). The animated image above displays some of the shoes in the collection. Attendees of SOL(e)D! will also have access to all exhibits in the museum, cheap drinks and free food. Tickets are $28 and also include 2 year subscription to WORN. Tickets can be purchased online SOL(e)D! Max Kibardin Spring 2009 Shoes These blue brouges are amazing. A black tux with these shoes would be a perfect outfit for the Texstyle: Androgyny party at the Textile Museum of Canada. These heels remind me of superheroes or the greek myth of Icarus.
