Ornate Expectations – How to Spend It Magazine

I’m in love with the Ornate Expectations editorial in FT.com’s How to Spend It magazine. It gets all baroque crazy with the season’s trend and lots of antiques. I’ve included my favourite shots from the editorial here but you can see the entire shoot Howtospendit.ft.com. It’s worth pursuing just for the information about all the items in each of the shots. Subway Jumping with Anita by Arieh Singer

Subway Jumping

I was coming home on the subway after Canada beat the US for gold and I ran into a friend Arieh Singer. He had obviously been partying during the day and was taking drunken photographs of his wife and her sister on the subway. He asked me if I wanted to take part and of course I said yes. Here is the result of that fooling around. I’m in love with this picture, but I happen to love photos where I’m jumping for some reason. I’m wearing: Hunter boots, Rick Owens Jacket, Alexander Wang snood, Elizabeth and James pants. image: Arieh Singer

I like the LV Astronauts Core Values Ad

What a relief from Madonna’s crotch this Louis Vuitton ad is. I have to admit I really enjoy this picture with the three space traveling trailblazers Sally Ride, Buzz Aldrin and Jim Lovell. The core values ads do a good job hiding Louis Vuitton, the viewer ends up concentrating on the people in those shots then the handbags. image: WWD.com

Freestyle Photoshoot with Tanja-Tiziana and Friends

Friend and great Photographer, Tanja-Tiziana occassionaly holds these events she called Freestyle Photoshoots. A a huge no-rules photo shoot where everyone gets in front of the camera(s). Make it what you will. Be prepared to meet new people and even be photographed with them at some point. The latest one took place in Christie Pits. I came with Shalome and Ryan aka The Grumpy Owl. I had my Chocolate Bossa Dress on because I didn’t have many pictures of it. I busted out the parasol because it would look cool. This is some of the results of the shoot. It was a lot of fun and I have to thank Tanja-Tiziana, Nancy Paiva and Justin Soegandi for so many great photos. See the rest of Tanja’s photos from the shoot.
