I love some of the new pieces from Complex Geometries Spring Summer 2009.
They are based out of Montreal and can be found in Toronto at Fawn. They also have an online shop on their site. They produced a video for the Spring 2009 collection. It gives you a feel for the clothing and the cuts they use.

Felipe Oliveira Baptista Haute Couture – Spring Summer 2009
I check out Felipe Oliveira Baptista’s collections every season but this year his presentation and standout jackets caught my eye. There is also a futurist aspect to the clothing. I’m also enjoying the urban uniform vibe his clothing portrays.

I don’t usually think twice about an Armani Haute Couture collection, however he went in another direction and I’m intrigued.

Interior Design Show is happening from February 5-8, 2009. I’m hoping to cover the events going down for the blog. I’ve never been but have heard many, many good things.
Givenchy Haute Couture – Spring Summer 2009
Givenchy Haute Couture is always great, but it was exceptional for SS09. Easily one of the best shows during Couture week.

I first salivated over the Alexander McQueen Striped column dress during the Mens Spring Summer 2009 show. Soon afterwards, Net-a-Porter carried the dress and I went crazy again as they had some great shots of the dress.
Well, I finally tried on a variant of the dress at Holt Renfrew Bloor Street. Of course I had to take a couple sneaky photos in the changeroom. It’s stunning, but it’s a shame this version missing the statement shoulder. This dress fits like a dream and feels like nothing on. It’s a serious curve hugging dress. I’m in love. However, it’s $1500!!!! A girl can dream though.
I was shocked to see a great photo from Katie Holmes for Miu Miu. Shocked I tell you.

On Sunday I attended CupcakeCamp Toronto. It was a cupcake extravaganza and many different cupcakes were to be had for the over 400 people that passed through LabSpace. At the beginning it looked like getting Cupcakes would be hard, but eventually the crowd became more manageable and it was easy to get cupcakes.
Fashion Magazine has a great spread in the February issue that featured Canadian designers. You can also see a behind the scenes video of the shoot on the website.
