i want: Opening Ceremony x Pendelton Spring Summer 2011

I’m still enjoying this collaboration. Opening Ceremony x Pendelton Spring Summer 2011 collection has some great pieces. These wool Ruffle Bottom shorts are so cute.  It looks like a little skirt.  The colour combination is just perfect. This wool Print Felt Jacket is another fun piece.  I love that it’s cropped.  Cropped jackets go well with maxi dresses and are perfect for spring summer layering The Cropped Knit Poncho is made from cotton but a wool version would be great in winter.  I just like the pattern and shape of this item. images: ssense.com

i want: Mary Boots by Chloe Sevigny x Opening Ceremony

Chloe Sevigny and Opening Ceremony have teamed up again for the spring summer 2011 season. The boots are super, super tall for 2011. I’m loving it. Keep the platforms coming. Mary Jo Mary Anne Mary Ellen Holt Renfrew is carrying the Mary Jane shoe by Chloe Sevigny x Opening Ceremony. I’m hoping they bring in the boots. images: openingceremony.us

Rodarte x Opening Ceremony Spring Summer 2011

UPDATE: March 27, 2011. The collection is available at Holt Renfrew right now. Rodarte collaborated with Opening Ceremony for a small Spring Summer 2011 collection. Holt Renfrew will be carrying the line in Canada. I got the scoop on some of the styles you can expect to see in Holts and they are pictured below. Unfortunately there will be no Tapestry Fringe Cape or Bandeau Swing Dress. Overall, the collection really isn’t my style. I have some favourites with the tapestries. I like the Aztec Intarsia Sweater and Stained Gauzy Button Down. I don’t know what to make of some of it. Pieces like the Lace-Up leather shorts just leave me baffled, so ugly. images: openingceremony.us

Tron Legacy x Opening Ceremony

I got invited to a Tron Legacy screening next week so I thought it would be a good time to talk about the Tron Legacy x Opening Ceremony collection.  I really like the shoes and the laser cut details on the skirt and dress.  The collection is very colourful which I love. This fall/winter 2010, opening ceremony has collaborated with disney consumer products to create a special capsule collection inspired by tron: legacy. opening ceremony travels into the tron universe, where high-tech aesthetics and neon dominate to create futuristic designs. incorporating the four tron colors of yellow, orange, blue, and black, the women’s collection features bomber jackets with over-sized funnel necks, snug scuba shirts, bodice dresses, seamed leggings, dresses with laser-cut ring patterns, and more. Inspired by high-performance athletic apparel, Opening Ceremony uses stretch spandex with flat-lock stitching to create ergonomic, form-fitting styles. You can get the Tron Legacy x Opening Ceremony collection online at Opening Ceremony. images: openingceremony.us

K-Genius Shoe by Jeffrey Campbell

Buckle Boot Madness hasn’t stopped

Yesterday, I went off about buckle boots.  I described my Jeffrey Campbell Potion boots.  I then posted about the original source of my fixation with buckle boots, the C02 Buckle Boots by Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony.  Not to be outdone, I brought Multi Strap Wedges by Ann Demeulemeester into the mix with her boot.   It has come to my attention that that the K-Genius Shoe by Jeffrey Campbell looks a lot like my C02 Buckle Boots by Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony.  I don’t like the Jeffrey Campbell ones much, they would be better in all black. images: openingceremony.us and karmaloop.com

C02 Buckle Boots by Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony

i want: C02 Buckle Boots by Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony

The C02 Buckle Boots  by Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony are what prompted my Potion Ankle Boots by Jeffrey Campbell purchase.  The Potion’s were the inspired versions of the Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony original.  While I love my Potion’s they really aren’t a complete substitute for the real C02 Boot.  I’d still like to get my hands on these, perhaps in a different colour.  I remember seeing a burgundy version at one point. I drool over the hardware details, those buckles are beautiful. You can find the C02 Buckle Boots by Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony online at Opening Ceremony. I haven’t seen or heard of any retailers stocking them in Toronto.  I would love to see these shoes up close. images: openingceremony.us

i want: Straight Leg Trouser by Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony

Straight Leg Trouser by Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony When I heard Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony would be a unisex collection I had my doubts. Early photos didn’t turn my crank at all either. However, I’m a sucker for a great pair of pants and Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony delivers for men and women. I also enjoy how they use the male and female together. See the rest of the Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony collection.
