Rad Hourani Ready to Wear – Fall 2010

Rad Hourani may get called repetitive but I really enjoy what he does season to season. I just wish better video would come out of his shows. There is quite a lot of detail in the line but because everything is black it’s not often represented fully in photos. I do love the androgyny of the collection. I enjoy looking through the photos and not being limited to considering only the women’s looks. That isn’t something that I really think of when looking at men’s and women’s clothing but with Rad it’s a little different. images: Pablo Ravazzani, nymag.com

Rad by Rad Hourani Fall 2009

So Rad Hourani has created a diffusion line called Rad by Rad Hourani. Price points are from $100 – $300, very reasonable considering the price of his main line. It’s all unisex clothing which explains the fact that both the men and women are the same size in these photos. The collection will be available starting in November in select retailers and online. I’m sure Reborn in Montreal will carry it. I’m curious to see what Toronto retailers pick it up too. I’m dying to add one of those layering pieces to my closet and perhaps a pair of pants if I can fit into them. Tommy Ton has some great photos on his site Jak&Jil. images: wwd.com

Rad Hourani Ready to Wear – Spring 2009

There was no red in this collection, just basic black in different textures and finishes. His work looks simple but it’s all in the details. I wish there was video. I love these pants!!!!!!!! I love that Rad, a Canadian, is sticking to his signature long and lean silhouette. You can find Rad’s stuff at Holt Renfrew and Reborn in Montreal. The line is unisex which I find really intriguing.
