Nooka Zoo V2 watch I just recently lost my Paul Frank watch, grrr. I lose watches a lot and I stopped buying them, except for the recent Paul Frank purchase. Figures I lose it. These beauties however might make me change my mind on spending a lot of money on watches. I promise not to lose you! I really like this version also Nooka Zoo [classic] Nooka is the ancient Amararunk’thuh word meaning “future is now”. Nooka is a contraction of “New Yorker” as pronounced with a native New York accent. Nooka is a the first part of “New York” and the last part of “Osaka”– expressing the global aesthetic of its creator. There are 2 retailers in Canada and they are all out west. designhouse 1100 Mainland St Vancouver BC 604 681 2800 616 Yates St Victoria BC 250 383 3569 Madekeines Home & Gift Boutique 18336 Lessand Road Edmonton, Alberta T6M2W8 CANADA 780 489 8009
Cuddle Pullover by Lululemon I’m not a crazy Lululemon junkie. I own none of their shorts, tank tops or pants. I do own this and another hoodie though and I really love them. The test of a great hoodie is in the hood and these are great. Lululemon hoodies are made to last using super thick cotton. They are preshrunk so you can toss then in the dryer. To be honest, it took me a year to put my other hoodie in the dryer. I’m obsessive with my clothes and wash anything I really, really care about in cold water and I hang it to dry. Oh and it’s black, not pink like the picture.
1964 PAC Sorel boots This was the most difficult of my boxing day finds. Aldo is selling Sorels, seems they had some partnership as the boots were branded with both logos. Anyways, I had no intention of getting white boots, but all other colours were sold out in my size. I found my size in white in 2 of the 5 Aldos I visited. They are damn popular this season. I was in a rush to find these things as they were on sale from $99.99 to $79.99 and there was an additional 25% off before 11a.m. That extra 25% worked out to $19.00 and the boots finally cost $59.99. Woot! I wasn’t crazy on the colour at first, but I was thinking function over fashion. I wasn’t stupid enough to feel the $40 extra was worth having brown Sorels. These boots are light, very, very warm and best of all WATERPROOF. I will no longer cringe at those nasty, salty and slushy puddles at intersections. I will walk through them proudly laughing at the …

My Fashion Week Daily email told me that Holt Renfrew is launching a Designer kids division. Now label whoring parents can dress their child in the same duds. Maybe this will create some bonding between parents and kids now they can shop in the same store. It just seems silly to buy a D & G Junior baby jumper when the kid will:
1. puke, piss and crap all over the thing
2. outgrow it in a few months.
Fashion victims are getting younger these days. Get ready parents your 5 year old is going to be asking for Dior.
(TORONTO) Luxury department store Holt Renfrew is launching a Designer Clothes for Kids division in March 2006 at Toronto’s Bloor Street and Yorkdale locations, as well as in Montreal, Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa, and Vancouver. A launch party is scheduled at the Bloor Street flagship for March 4th. Fall launches are scheduled in the Sherway Gardens and Ste Foy stores.
“We’re combing the best of both categories (luxury goods and children’s) with our designer clothes for kids and see spring 2006 as the perfect time to launch,†according to Lanita Layton, vp of Menswear and Designer Clothes for Kids. “We’ve looked at the lines we already carry for men and women, and the children’s line must have the same Holt point of view.â€

There are times when I wish I could knit. This is one of those times. These bring back memories of the Arcade and playing the original Nintendo for hours on end in my basement.
Super Mario Scarf
This scarf is the coolest thing ever. I’m jealous of the boy that owns it.
Space Invaders tote
Cute tote bag. Must learn how to knit!

I always think of something really, really important in the shower. Of course, as soon as I get out, that important tidbit is now gone to the ether. This allows you to record those brilliant pieces of thinking so you don’t forget later.

Fluevog Shoes
I’ve never owned a pair of Fluevogs, even though I’ve pined over them for more than 10 years now. They aren’t for everyone, but I love the quirkness of them. I noticed a really wicked pair on Manolo the Shoeblogger’s site
Bev
Beautiful straight lines. If I needed a new pair of black boots, these would be in the running. I browsed the Fluevog site some more and discovered
More after the jump…
