geekiviews: LypSyl pure beewax lip protection

I love my friends at Brill Communications. They send me samples of LypSyl lip protection to try out. I received three products but I’ve only used two so far. Overall I like the product. It’s not heavy and it keeps the lips nice and moist. I’ve heard some buzz about beeswax being good alternative to some of the things that are in lip balm. I’m a fan of the Lyp Moisturizer Honey Berry. It’s has a faint smell but is not overpowering and doesn’t have a taste. The applicator is big enough to get all the lip in one stroke. If you have bigger lips like I do, this is important. LypRadiance with Honey Rose is the one with some subtle shimmer in it. I didn’t like this one so much, mostly because of the smell and fruity flavour; it was really overpowering. The shimmer was very subtle and it left me wanting more. I can see little girls liking this one because of the smell and taste. Lypsensitivity with Aloe Vera is the only …

Louis Vuitton “Superflat Monogram”

YouTube – Louis Vuitton “Superflat Monogram” This is old news, but I finally watched this whole video. I love this and the music is awesome. I love when the Japanese and LV come together. An ad campaign for LOUIS VUITTON by Mamoru Hosoda. an updated alice in wonderland, in which a girl, searching for her lost cell phone, floats in a dizzying world of the company’s logos. While waiting to meet her friends outside of a Louis Vuitton store, Aya’s cell phone is eaten by the LV Panda, who then promptly swallows Aya – but the inside of his stomach is gateway to a psychadelic wonderland. Based on characters created by famed superflat artist Takashi Murakami. Location: The LOUIS VUITTON store featured in this video is the Omotesando in Tokyo, Japan. Music: Fantastic Plastic Machine – “Different Colors”

Inspired by “Anime”

As a former hardcore anime addict, I should be all over Biddell’s new collection, it’s influenced by anime. However, this invite, with it’s piss poor excuse for an anime character tells me something else. And really, couldn’t you have dressed the chick. Standard anime outfit, you even have 2 choices: 1. extremely short miniskirt and tank top revealing heaving breasts 2. schoolgirl uniform with the above mentioned short miniskirt.

Miu Miu Ready to Wear – Fall Winter 2008 – 2009

Miu Miu Ready to Wear – Fall Winter 2008 – 2009 I was in denial about the 90s revival, but this hideous collection from Miu Miu and Chloe Sevigny By Opening Ceremony have sealed the deal. Not so hideous in parts was Isabel Marant, it did go way into the 90s with cowboy chic. Not my favourite look, but there is a couple pieces that are nice. The footwear, horrible. Whistler Style

I look a couple style shots for you all. So here they are. Hands down the hottest outfit on the mountain was by this British woman (who was the 2nd black person on the mountain besides me on Sat.). She was a wearing an Adidas by Stella McCartney snow suit. It was hot and I told her so. I didn’t take a picture though 🙁 There were a lot of great outfits on the mountain. I got the shots I could without having to talk to people and explain the whole fashion blogging thing.

Whistler Day 5 – The Bane of My Existence

I talked about White Out conditions on Day 3. Those conditions were a joke compared to Friday’s outing. Friday we did Fresh Tracks which is breakfast at the Roundhouse Lodge on Whistler and first access to the mountain before opening to the public. It was snowing so we were looking for a good time. It was puking snow on the mountain all day. The freeze line was kinda high so at one point we were skiing in rain. It was awful returning to the freeze line because then you’d get cold again. The peak was insane. 60 – 80 km/hr winds and absolutely zero visibility. I wanted to take a picture of what I saw but it would be the same as posting an image of a white square. All you saw was white, there was no way to determine which way was up or down. Gravity sometimes helped and other times the winds were pushing you so much you just prayed there was no cliffs around to fall off of. There was a reason …
