i want: Asymmetrical black leather corselet belt by Zoë Hong

Zoë Hong is a designer I’ve been following online for a few year now. It was first through her blog Verbal Croquis and now Facebook and twitter. We’ve never met in person but I’ve always thought she was talented and pretty damn cool. I was super excited when she opened an Etsy shop. Zoë makes accessories with just the right amount of embellishment and attitude.

I fell in love with this asymmetrical black leather corselet belt immediately. There is no other adjective to use but sexy for this belt. Hot stuff.

  1. @geekigirl is it my imagination, or am I seeing a lot of corset – inspired Spring fashion?

  2. @geekigirl @zoehong I must concur, very nice, not to mention it would suit you Anita.

  3. Thanks for featuring this – looks fabulous! But I wish I could see it with an outfit – I’m finding it hard to picture what to wear it with. (I’ll prob go check out her blog and Etsy store.)

    1. I would keep it body con and wear a tight short dress with it. I would also wear a white shirt (with a ruffled front and/or sleeves) and wide leg pants or even pencil skirt.
I could see myself wearing a lot of black and white with it and high black boots. I can also see it with a sleek top and full skirt. This is all subject to try on, sometimes these things I think of don’t work in the real work.

  4. Hi! To answer Shop T.O. Live, I would go with any of the options geekigirl mentioned. I could also seem them with looser t-shirts and skinny pants. And thanks for the feedback. I think your suggestion is great and I’m going to start posting some photos of the belts with some clothes too.
