Givenchy Spring Summer Couture 2012. What else is there to say but wow.

Riccardo Tisci was influenced by Fritz Lang’s Metropolis and Aelita for the Spring Summer 2012 Haute Couture collection.

The crocodile gown took some 350 hours produce. The atelier would disassemble a skin, bleach it, re-dye it and remount it on tulle. It’s just incredible.

I love that this shoot had a basketball theme.  It was shot in the oldest gymnasium in Paris.

I wasn’t a fan of the oversized nose rings and earrings. They looked more painful than beautiful.

Le sigh, these shoes are divine.

I hate celebrity fashion but here is a photo of Zoe Saldana wearing one of the gowns from the collection.
