I just got my beloved Chloé booties from the Spring Summer 2008 collection fixed at Kaner. They have been out of my shoe rotation for at least a year because I’m that lazy. It inspired me to share my shoes on the blog. I really loved Chloé with Paulo Melim Andersson at the helm. I wish I was able to get a few more pieces by him before he was kicked out of the house. These were a Holt Renfrew Now or Never buy.
I drooled over the crazy shearling boots from Burberry for Fall Winter 2010 – 2011. Luisaviaroma finally has the short style for sale. Shearling Low Boots by Burberry Prosum They look pretty comfortable with the rubble sole. However, they do have a 5 inch heel. It looks like there is a bit of a platform too. I’m hoping the Burberry store or Holt’s carries these shoes so I can get a closer look at them. images: luisaviaroma.com

I think Rocky Horror and Dr. Frankenfurter when I see the Open Toe Frank N Furter Pumps by Dsquared2 for Fall Winter 2010 – 2011. I’m sure that why they chose the name. It’s a no brainer. They were the talk of the internet after the World Cup opening ceremonies thanks to Alicia Keys. I emailed Todd at Dsquared2 for some high res photos and he sent me another four images. I’m totally blown away. Tommy Ton has photos on his blog and Bryanboy tweeted some pics of him in Florence wearing them. Dr. Marten paired up with Sanrio to celebrate their 50th anniversary. I saw a sneak preview of the shoes at the Fall 2010 preview and I was freaking out. It’s just so damn cute. I’ve loved Sanrio characters for a long time in my life and to see them in Dr. Martens form is awesome. Just for record, Keroppi is my favourite character. I was freaking out in Janurary over a Nicholas Kirkwood shoe I saw on Jak & Jil. Now the whole season is available on Nicholas Kirkwood website. I love.
Lislie Yeung is a new London based shoe designer. Fall Winter 2010 – 2011 is her debut season and I’m liking the shoes and colour palette. Lislie attended Parsons in New York and Cordwainers College in London. (Other I want – I got favourites attended Cordwainers also: Nicholas Kirkwood and Gil Carvalho) There is no word on retailers as of yet. Hopefully her market season was good and we’ll see the Lislie Yeung Fall Winter 2010 – 2011 collection in the stores. Footwear designer Gil Carvalho sent me an email letting me know about his Fall Winter 2010 collection. I was quiet surprised and excited to hear from him personally. This London based shoe designer has a background in fine art, art history and architecture. Gil studied shoe design at Cordwainers College at London College of Fashion. The lookbook talks about the inspiration for Gil Carvalho Fall Winter 2010 – 2011 collection. “With it’s emphasis on the sculptural, inspired by the Abstract artist Rolph Scarlett, the latest collection explores the relationship between a woman and her shoes, one that had endured teh passage of time but remains as passionate as ever. These Devon Open Toe Booties by Alexander Wang are fun. Playing with Alexander Wang shoes was a little detour I made while in the mist of playing with Todd Lynn in the personal shopping area of Holt Renfrew. I love the colour and reptile treatment to the leather. I’m not usually a suede fan but I like the contrast it provides. They are pretty comfortable with a reasonable heel height.
