There are a few things from Gap’s spring summer 2011 collection I have my eyes on. I love the Pale Denim ruffle top. It reminds me of Lanvin a little bit. The Chambray denim hooded parka will be a good substitute for that Lanvin x Acne denim jacket I never bought. The white skirt is heavily influenced by Jil Sander’s spring summer 2011 silhouette. It wasn’t a silhouette that I liked at first but it has been growing.

I saw the news of the new H&M Conscious Collection. I didn’t think much of it until I saw this campaign shot. I need this dress, it’s just got summertime written all over it. I think the snow is already getting to me. Sustainability is a long term trend at H&M and this April as part of the focus on sustainability H&M will introduce the Conscious Collection – The collection which is for women, men and children is made from enviromentally – adapted and greener materials such as organic cotton, Tencel® and recycled polyester. Louie Gong, the shoe artist I featured a few weeks back is celebrating the Year of the Rabbit. You will remember that Louie`s background is Nooksack, Squamish, Chinese and White. I’m still keeping my eye out for beautiful gowns. Donna Karan does great Grecian style gowns. The front slit and back detail make the very sexy without going too far over the top. It’s also made of a fabric called cupro. It was new to me so I looked it up. Cupro – The European cousin of tencel , Cupro is also somewhat similar to rayon in that it is reprocessed cellulose. Like tencel and rayon, the base material for cupro is a regenerated cellulose fiber . Cupro gets its name from cuprammonium, the process that is used to process the wood pulp or cotton linters that are its base material. In this process, the wood pulp or cotton liners are dissolved in an ammoniac copper oxide solution. Cupro fabric breathes like cotton, drapes beautifully, and feels like silk on your skin.
