There are a few pieces from the Atelier Versace Spring 2010 collection that I’m loving a lot.
The Versace website uses very large images to display the collection. It’s worth checking out to see all the details.

I was doing my regular rounds of Holt Renfrew Bloor Street with The Oracle a few weekends ago. We ran into Tommy Ton of JakandJil. I hadn’t seen Tommy since he started on his adventures during Men’s and Women’s fashion weeks so it was really good to catch up for a bit. I say this to everyone but Tommy is such a sweetheart.
The highlight of our catching up was me playing model in Celine for Tommy. I know, it’s pretty lame but simple pleasure right. I’ve always looked, touched and drooled over the Celine pieces in Holts but never dared to try anything on.  With Tommy Ton present I had the perfect excuse. He had me try on two army jackets and I’m posting about the one I really, really love. The jacket is “the sex”. There is something about well made designer goods that just feel like a dream on. If I had to cash to drop on this jacket, I probably would do it in a heartbeat, look at the back of it!!!!

It seems Tommy is a little obsessed with the jacket as he snapped it a couple of times in his style.com post called JakAndJil’s Tommy Ton Calls Out His Favorite Off-Catwalk Trends. I honestly can’t blame him.

I found the full show video for the Balenciaga Ready to Wear – Fall Winter 2010 collection. The soundtrack is killer.
This video is great for providing all the angles of the models so you can see the back details. The clothing has so much more depth with video. The construction is a lot clearer. There is a lot going on in the fall winter 2010 collection.
Dazed Digital got a closer look at the collection. They have some great photos of the all the details. I also like the shots from Purple Magazine.

I’m in love with Ash’s Lotus Cutout Booties. They would be a fun shoe for spring/summer but I could see myself wearing them into the fall with tights.
I heard that Holt Renfrew had the black version but they sold out. Boo.You can purchase them at Shopbop and Nordstrom.
UPDATE(April 11, 2010): I saw them in Holts on the weekend. They are not sold out. I didn’t check the price too carefully but they are under $300 I believe.
Other stores in Toronto that carry Ash are Balisi, Corbo, Holt Renfrew, Capezio and TNT.

I found the Lanvin Ready to Wear – Fall Winter 2010 video. I’ve now dubbed this the “Klingon Warrior” collection. Read the Klingon backstory here.

Dexter Skirt by Haute Hippie, Pheasant Feather Skirt by Haute Hippie
I love these feathered skirts by Haute Hippie. They are cute and playful but I wonder if they shed a lot. They are available online at ssense.com.

The shoes from the Miu Miu Fall Winter 2010 – 2011 collection are like nothing I’ve seen before. I’m not sure what to make of the spats they have going on. Are they part of the shoe? I see that they are have Velcro and are removable.
I think I prefer the shoes without the spats.
These shoes are a little bizarre and I can’t see myself wearing them. What are your thoughts?

I love the jewellery in the Lanvin Ready to Wear – Fall Winter 2010 – 2011 collection. My first thought was Klingons. For some reason the Lanvin fall winter 2010 jewellery gives me a Klingon’s vibe. It seems to fit the warrior theme. I couldn’t get it out of my head so I asked The Grumpy Owl. He agreed and and sent me a picture of Gowron. Now I don’t feel that crazy.
