i want: Printed stretch-satin bodysuit by Dolce & Gabbana

I think my love of difficult clothing like jumpsuits and rompers is making things like bodysuits seems reasonable again. I used to wear a lot of bodysuits in the early 90s. I haven’t touched one since then but this printed stretch-satin bodysuit by Dolce & Gabbana has me craving again. They have a lot of coverage, like a 50s swimsuit and I could see myself pairing it with this sheer Jeremy Laing skirt I picked up this summer. images: net-a-porter.com

What is Quando Quando Quando Dolce & Gabbana?

I got a weird email asking if I knew what Quando Quando Quando was? The email also pointed me to this preview video by Dolce&Gabbana Motion Pictures Movie. After some internet searching I discovered that Quando, Quando, Quando is an Italian pop song from 1962. It translates to When, When, When. I can only assume they are related. My money is that this will be a fashion film for the women’s Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring 2011 collection. It’s got me curious about what is coming up.

D&G Anthology L`Amoureaux 6 Fragrance

geekiviews: D&G Anthology L`Amoureaux 6 Fragrance

I’m not a loyalist when it comes to fragrances.  I went from not wearing anything to having a whole collection (Thank you gift bags).  I don’t stick to one scent like some people.  I like the variety and the options I can play with.  Right now I find myself wearing the D&G Anthology L`Amoureaux 6 fragrance a lot. Dolce & Gabbana presents five perfumes of their collection The D&G Anthology, which arrives on the market in September 2009. Two other fragrances will join the collection next year.   The collection The D&G Anthology was inspired by tarot cards and their marks. The fragrances of this collection were named: Le Bateleur 1 (Tyson Ballou), L’Imperatrice 3 (Naomi Campbell), L’Amoureaux 6 (Noah Mills), La Roue de la Fortune 10 (Eva Herzigova and Fernando Fernandes), La Lune 18 (Claudia Schiffer).(source) L’Amoureaux 6 has fragrance signatures of spices, juniper berries, bergamot, pink pepper, cardamom, birch leaf, iris root, wood and musk. Since the model is Noah Mills (Hot!), I’m assuming the fragrance is more masculine. I can see it …

D&G Mens Fall 2010 Backstage

The kind people at Swide.com also emailed me some pictures of the backstage action at the D&G Fall 2010 fashion show. You can watch the full mens Fall 2010 collection from D&G on the website. I didn’t like this collection that much. The pants were very distracting. I didn’t like the oversized, multiple layers styling either.  However, the knits were lovely.

Dolce & Gabbana Mens Fall 2010 Backstage

The kind people at Swide.com emailed me some pictures of the backstage action at the Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2010 fashion show. I thought I should share some of my favourite shots. Some are just purely eye candy, very good eye candy. You can watch the full mens Fall 2010 collection from Dolce & Gabbana on the website. The whole collection felt very mobster. I liked the clothing and did not enjoy the presentation. It was information overload for me. I was amazed at the number of models that were cast for the show. The final walkout was insane. Here is a video that discusses some key looks from the Fall 2010 mens collection; providing information about material and techniques.

So Dolce & Gabbana are giving us a sneak preview

Dolce & Gabbana are posting Pre-Show Diaries for everyone to see leading up to the Spring 2010 presentation on Sept 27, 2009. They are show 1 minute films that give you a glimpse of the goings on behind the scenes. Why did they do this, well you can read all about it in an article called Exclusive! Dolce & Gabbana change the catwalk rules on Swide Magazine. Here is Part 1 and Part 2 but follow the Dolce & Gabbana YouTube Channel to see the next installments. I have to admit I like the idea, but I also like looking at Domenico and Stefano. I might be a little bias. So far it looks a lot different from the cowboy look that sister brand D&G showcased for Spring 2010. I’m not into the cowboy look but I have to applaud Domenico and Stefano for an incredibly tight collection. I love collections that have a distinct theme and the execution is flawless. There were some individual pieces I liked, but it’s not my style. They have …
