Celine Resort 2011

Celine Resort 2011

There are very few designers that will get a bad review from me. Labels like Balenciaga, Givenchy and Lanvin will always be hits in my mind. Of course Celine with Phoebe Philo at the helm is among those select few. Phoebe played with print and colour this season in the ready to wear items. Usually she leaves colour to the accessories. There was a bit of colour blocking which I would expect from Celine doing colour. The prints threw me for a loop at first but I do like the pattern and colour combinations Phoebe has chosen. The accessories are fabulous of course.  I’m loving the neon yellow handbags big time. images: and

Phoebe Philo by David Sims - The Gentlewoman Spring Summer 2010

The Spring Summer 2010 issue of Gentlewoman Magazine has an interview and photoshoot with designer Phoebe Philo of Céline. This is the debut issue for the magazine. The Gentlewoman is a new biannual style magazine for a new decade. Featuring inspirational, international women, it pairs ambitious journalism with a sartorial and intelligent perspective on fashion that is focused on personal style – the way women actually look, think and dress. I really liked the photos taken of Phoebe, she’s just so damn cool. images:

Celine Spring 2010 is now at Holt Renfrew

The impeccable Celine Spring 2010 has hit the floor at Holt Renfrew, the exclusive retailer in Canada. I had to check it out myself. The clothing lives up to the pictures. Everything was just so beautiful, flawless and drool worthy. It’s expensive as all hell too. Phoebe, you know how to cut, it’s disgusting! I could wear it all. Just to refresh your memory here is the Celine Spring 2010 video. images: the Fashion Spot
