I’m not going to get all analytical about this shoot, the fashion industry and race. I do enough of that outside this space. I’m just going to enjoy this beautiful spread and share it with people. When I cut my hair many people asked if I would ever go blonde. The answer is no but it looks good here. The contrast is much nicer with her skin tone than mine. A little over a year ago frillr.com tipped me off about Rose Codero. I was immediately taken that I wrote a post called simply, Rose Cordero. I hoped to see lots of her in FW10. I’m getting my wish. What a year you’ve had Rose, I love seeing you around. The editorial and cover from Vogue Paris are stunning. You can see the full editorial on models.com. images: models.com
I wasn’t freaking out over the Givenchy Spring 2010 couture show. I was expecting to but found myself liking about half the collection. I loved the feathers, shorts, ruffles, beading and sheer elements of the collection. I loved all the pieces in neutral colours but that feeling wasn’t uniform when it went the colour came out of the woodwork. The blue and green embellished jumpsuits reminded me of Christmas ornaments. I loved the purple ruffled dresses. I missed Mariacarla’s strut, but my girl Rose was there. I wasn’t a fan the eye makeup. The shoes were very cute. I have to one question, Ciara as Riccardo Tisci’s muse? Really, WTF. To top it all off, trying to mooch out of paying for couture pants, this isn’t ready to wear girly. images: style.com
I’m dying. Dying over this Rose Cordero as Grace spread in the December/January 2009 of Vogue Paris. If I only had the patience to grow a fade. It would be nice to recreate of these looks. Photographer is Paola Kudacki and the Stylist is Melanie Huynh. images the Fashion Spot
I wasn’t a fan of Marc Jacobs this year. He redeemed himself with Louis Vuitton. I’m so happy my girl Rose (pictured above) got to walk the show. Yes, Marc. Like the John Galliano show, I have video so I’m not going to bore you with photos. You need to see this stuff in motion. However you can see photos of the full Louis Vuitton Fall 2009 RTW collection at Nymag.com.
Rose Cordero People say this girl (and I mean girl, she’s 16) is going to be the next thing. She’s signed to Supreme Model Management. I love her look and I hope to see her all over the place for FW10. via frillr.com image: Shameer Khan Photography: Rose Cordero
