The impeccable Celine Spring 2010 has hit the floor at Holt Renfrew, the exclusive retailer in Canada. I had to check it out myself. The clothing lives up to the pictures. Everything was just so beautiful, flawless and drool worthy. It’s expensive as all hell too. Phoebe, you know how to cut, it’s disgusting! I could wear it all. Fashematical by Fashematics aka Jonathan Zawada Fashematics is the brilliant website by Jonathan Zawada. It a blog that combines math and fashion. I’m so in love with it. Jonathan created an amazing zine recently and I immediately ordered it. This book was published to commemorate the 50th fashematics equation created for Zawada’s fashematics.com blog. Jonathan created this zine of his favourite looks from the Spring/Summer 2010 runway shows, reinterpreting the models as part of either a horde of zombies or an army of robots. It is a flip-flop zine that reads inwards from both covers beginning with either a Zombie Karl Lagerfeld or Android Lagerfeld sticker. Paper Doll book by Danielle Meder Danielle has taken her paper dolls from LG Fashion Week and turned them into a book. 15 designers, 17 paper dolls, over 60 items of clothing and accessories to play with. This is the result of a rather involved project I gave to myself to commemorate the Spring 2010 collections shown in Toronto this October. I never thought I would be staring at the collection from Richard (Richie) Hawtin, a DJ and electronic musican whom I’ve spent more than a few sweaty nights dancing my ass to. But here it is Richly.Hawtin. The label Richly.Hawtin was established in 2008 Tokyo, Japan by Richard Hawtin and Isolde Richly. Inspired by their shared love of Japanese culture and design Richly.Hawtin finds harmony within the sensitive balance of strong line management and muted color arrangement. I stopped by Holt Renfrew for the Greta Constantine Spring 2010 Trunk Show and Personal Appearance on Saturday. Here are some pictures I took from the event. I also found out that I have another dress named after me by the Greta Constantine boys. It’s called the Clarke. Click the thumbnail to see the larger version. I’m constantly amazed at how amazing 2009 has been. 2 dresses named after me, what the hell!!!! The Greta Constantine Spring 2010 collection that will be on sale at Holt Renfrew includes a number of pieces with a more accessible price point.
Tommy Ton has shot another beautiful ad campaign with Complex Geometries. I checked out the collection on the website. It’s another season where I can see myself acquiring a few pieces. LG Fashion Week this year featured something pretty neat. Toronto got its own edition of the Fashion Week Daily. I was obsessed with this mag when I was in NYC for the Spring 2008 collection. I’m not sure if the magazine was available anywhere else but the tents. It came out towards the end of LG Fashion Week and I was really impressed with their turnaround time. I’ve scanned the magazine, sans ads, so that you can enjoy it.
