Month: February 2009

i want Givenchy Spring 2009 shoes.

Givenchy has some amazing, amazing shoes right now. Givenchy Cut-out shoe boots Christian Louboutin did a fuchsia shoe last season, but I think this Givenchy one is much superior. I see me in these with the Alexander McQueen dress I tried on at Holts. I’m freaking myself out. Givenchy Crossed strap sandals Givenchy Silver strap sandal I’m really smitten with these sandals. They are like the perfect all around summer shoe. Givenchy Lace ankle sandals EDIT: I saw the Givenchy Lace ankle sandals at Browns on Bloor Street in Toronto today. They must have just arrived and they have both black and white. – Feb 14, 2009

Lanvin Spring Summer 2009 Ad Campaign

I’m enjoying the Lanvin Spring Summer 2009 Ad Campaign. The clothing is beautiful of course, that goes without saying. I’m loving the whole “cheekily playing in your large changroom before it’s time to go out” vibe that is happening in this campaign. I usually don’t find depictions of narcissism that attractive, but I think the mirror loving Iselin works very, very well. Yup, it’s a Meisel joint. images: Lanvin S/S 09 : Iselin Steiro by Steven Meisel – the Fashion Spot

i want: Valentine Moroccan Rose Body Treatment

I normally don’t talk about Valentine’s Day on the site, but when I received a pitch about the Valentine Moroccan Rose Body Treatment from the 889 Yonge Yoga & Holistic Lifestyle Spa I immediately thought “I want that”. So here it is. It’s on for the month of February so it just doesn’t have to be a Valentines thing. The Moroccan Rose Body Treatment: Indulge your body and spirit in this deeply sensuous and soothing REN chemical-free skincare body treatment. A relaxing ginger two sugar body scrub warms your skin and boosts microcirculation to improve your tone, reduce ‘orange peel’ (we prefer this to cellulite!) and unveil your natural glow. The Moroccan Rose Otto oil is steam distilled from petals harvested in Morocco at dawn and is deeply moisturizing with exquisite aromatherapeutic properties. A gentle massage with rich Damask Rose Biosaccharide body cream contains sugar extract that releases endorphins and brings a sense of comfort to your body. Pamper yourself and feel loved! 75 min/ $135 Edit: I’ve restored this post to it’s intended look. …

CCCCChanges

UPDATE: I’ve tweaked things again. So I’ve changed up the site theme once again. I’m hoping to showcase the photos much better with this site and have improved lightboxish display of the images. The theme I was using before was very wonky in this respects. I’ve scaled down the sidebars to one and they have less information than before. You will still have access to the Event Calender, search features, subscription options and the small Toronto blogroll The top of the page now display the page listings and select categories. After talking to friends, offering all category options added too much clutter. I’ve chosen the categories that I think are most relevant and useful for my readers. To see the complete list of categories please use the Archives page. The Archives page is listed by Date and by Category. I’ve also switched over to Google Search for my blog which I hope will benefit people better when searching the blog. The built in WordPress search functionality wouldn’t search all attributes and sometimes results were left …

Interior Design Show 2009 exhibit preview

I will be attending the Interior Design Show for I want – I got. I’ll have my trusty photographer, Paul Baik with me. I’m really looking forward to it. It’s rare that I have a professional photographer at my disposal. I’m really looking forward to bringing you the scoop. Here are some of the exhibits I’m looking forward to this week. 1. Concept Spaces Five of Canada’s most innovative and inspiring design firms have been assembled, each of whom represent very different design disciplines – production and retail design; industrial design, luxury architecture, luxury residential interior design, and landscape architecture. Representing a combination of emerging and under the radar designers coupled with established design celebrities, the five selected firms share some things in common – innovation, inspiration and talent…and for you this February, they will each design and create a living space that reflects their own personal notion of good design, free of client demands or budget restrictions…we hope that you enjoy the trip. 2. LuxeHome LUXEHome represents the cutting edge in high end luxury …
