i want: Lanvin – Large metallic bag

Lanvin – Large metallic bag I’m obsessed with this beautiful purple bag by Lanvin. They have it at Holt’s and I go in to drool over it occasionally. It’s more incredible in person. Purple large metallic bag with silver trims on the corners and the main opening. Chain link handles sit on either side. A popper fastening sits on the main opening. A zip pocket sits on the lining. image: brownsfashion.com

Stella McCartney for LeSportsac has arrived

Some of the new Stella McCartney for LeSportsac bags are nice. You all know I love the prints. This is my favourite bag and print. It’s a big bag too. I love big bags 🙂 The collection is available for Pre-Order only online at the LeSportSac website. You will not see these in the stores apparently. EDIT: I’m wrong, you can pick up the collection at Holt Renfrew. Thank you LouLou maybe I won’t let my subscription expire now. images: lesportsac.com

I love LeSportsac’s prints

I’ve always thought LeSportsac was a little too expensive for a nylon bag; it has the Prada syndrome. That being said, I did by a Tokidoki messenger bag by Le Sportsac because it was damn cute. The prints are something this company does damn well.

i want…

A Stupid Bag A latecomer to the to the Anya Hindmarch “I’m Not A Plastic Bag” parodies, I still like these bags. My favourite is “I’m just a f#*king bag”, which is sold out, of course. Others include “I’m a cheap shit bag”, “I’m a very cheap bag” and “I’m just a stupid bag”. My favourite Anya Hindmarch parody still is the I’m not a smug twat bag.

NYC Fashion Week Spring 2008 – Street Trends

There were two things that really stuck out for me in New York. 1. Men carried Manbags. All kinds of guys with all kinds of bags, not just the fashion insiders. I liked the look actually and I hope it spreads. Hell, I even liked the guy rocking the clutch at Phi. Find your Man bag here. 2. Goyard is king. I didn’t see a lot of Louis Vuitton, but I saw a lot of Goyard, fake and real. You could get Goyard fakes on every street corner. At night, every street corner had a bunch of guys selling handbags out of garbage bags and boxes. Fucking hilarious. For those that don’t know, Goyard is an old french company that makes very expensive luggage and handbags. images: balenciaga.com and businessweek.com

I want…

Natalie Envelope Clutch by Posse NYC My black clutches leave a lot to be desired; I would love to own this one and put the others out of their misery. Because like the Highlander, there can be only one. It looks like lizard skin but it’s only leather. Posse NYC also makes a creme version. As always there are no Canadian retailers but you can try online at www.possenyc.com www.couturecandy.com www.fengjunk.com image: fengjunk.com

Coach is now open in the Eaton Centre

I visited the new Coach store with a co-worker last week. That store offends all my sensibilities. I was bombarded with the horrible CC monogram those horrible patchwork bags were all over the place. I can’t remember the last time I saw so many fugly bags in one place. Actually, I don’t think I’ve every seen so many fugly bags in one place. The store is accessories only, no clothing. I didn’t see any shoes, but I could be wrong. Look at this hideous thing, who finds this appealing. I want to know. They did have the only thing I could find on the website that I liked. images: coach.com

Louis Vuitton Icone bag, 2006

It’s a monogrammed LV bag I can get into. This Louis Vuitton Icone bag is designed by Zaha Hadid. LVMH commissioned the bag for an exhibition. In the spirit of Marc Jacobs, who has constantly reinvented the House icons with flair and genius, Louis Vuitton has invited nine exceptional creative talents—artists, architects and designers—to celebrate nine iconic bags in an exhibition that will run from September 15 to December 31, 2006 at the “Espace Louis Vuitton”. The Louis Vuitton Icone bag is made of moulded plastic and comes with its own stand and two stools. LVMH press release image: zahahadidblog.com

i got: Clear Shoe boxes from the Shoe Stör

Clear Shoe boxes from the Shoe Stör Wayback in 2005 I won a contest by one of the owners of the Shoe Stör. It’s taken me two years to receive the product due to lack of contact on my part and a nasty data loss problem on the Shoe Stör’s end. It’s all be cleared up and now I’m the proud owner of some clear shoe boxes… and I love them! I’ve organized my shoe collection and now everything is at my fingertips. I won’t forget about any of my shoes because they are in the back of my closet in a non-clear shoe box again. They come in various sizes and I use the boot size for my handbags also.

i want: I’m Not a Smug Twat Bag

I’m Not a Smug Twat bag This is the best parody I’ve seen on the whole Anya Hindmarch “I’m Not A Plastic Bag” tote craze that the sheep are lining up for hours for. Don’t worry Canadian sheep, Holt Renfew will be carrying these bags, so get calling for the waiting list. The bag is from London-based designer, Marissa Vandersee. She makes a hot hoodie too. via Catwalk Queen

Coach is coming to the Eaton Centre

I was walking through the Eaton Centre to see that a Coach *shudders violently* store is opening up in the Eaton Centre. I hate Coach with a passion but I’m sure a lot of my readers feel the opposite. I trolled the Coach website to find something I like for an image and the best I could do was this super cute turtle keychain. image: coach.com
