At the height of British Imperialism many of the affluent found themselves able to travel to new and unexplored lands, bringing their polite society and china services to the safari. This moment in time is so beautifully illustrated in the memoir Out of Africa by Isak Dinsen. The Dagg and Stacey Spring/Summer 2009 collection is guided by the spirit of this intoxicating journey. The look features relaxed tailoring, clean lines, and hand dyed appliques for an effortlessly feminine feel.
Dagg and Stacey was developed by the combined inspiration of Karen Dagg and Stacey Paterson. Established in 2001 in Toronto Canada, Dagg and Stacey had a clear intention from the beginning. Guided by a strong sense of feminine tailoring and an informed nod to vintage detailing, Dagg and Stacey appeals to those whose attention to quality and style are paramount. The label is known for its eclectic use of colour, pattern and texture, with each piece framed by their philosophy of creating beautifully cut and consistently feminine designs.

Since the lookbook has been out I’ve noticed a little bit of misinformation about the Greta Constantine Boys that I would like to clear up: Greta Constantine is not Project Runway Canada alums. Stephen Wong entered the contest as an individual not as Greta Constantine which includes his partner Kirk Pickersgill. Just clearing that up for you.
Philip Sparks Ready to Wear – Fall 2009- 2010 Lookbook
Philip told me that his theme for fall was Peter and the Wolf. I thought it was an interesting concept. I had no idea that Philip would execute it to such perfection. I’m in love with this menswear collection. It’s the best Philip Sparks collection yet. The everything about this lookbook is perfection. The models, the backdrop, the clothing, the fur. Congratulations on such a wonderful collection Philip, I can’t wait to see this in March.
Iekeliene Stange is such an amazing model. I really love these shots for the Majo Fruithof lookbook shot by Patrizio di RENZO. I’ve only posted a few choice ones but be sure to check the via link for all the photos.
