It must of sucked to be working the Viktor & Rolf Fall Winter 2007 Ready-to-Wear Runway show. They put them in those horrible harnesses, check the video, those poor girls. And those shoes, awful.

Kidrobot Gloomy Bear

So freaking cute. Kidrobot makes some killer toys. You might remember my Madvillian toy and the video I made, it’s Kid Robot too.
The whole back story behind Gloomy is hilarious
Gloomy, an abandoned little bear, is rescued by Pity (the little boy). At first, he is cute and cuddly, but becomes more wild as he grows up. Since bears do not become attached to people like dogs by nature, Gloomy attacks Pitty even though he is the owner. So Gloomy has blood on him from biting and/or scratching Pity.
You can get a bloodier version of Gloomy too.
You get Gloomy at Magic Pony in Toronto.
Christian Dior 2007 collections videos

I thank Frillr for these runway videos. The Christian Dior Haute Couture Spring Summer 2007 is fun. The video is the complete show and it has lots of great closeups of the model’s makeup, detailing on the clothing and full body shots. I love the opening song, ahh 80s music. I can’t remember the name though, madame butterfly or something. If you know, please tell me.
The Fall Winter 2007 Ready To Wear collection is out too. Watch the video.

I was surprised at how tame he was at the show this year, no costumes.

Advanced Laugher classes now in Toronto
I want – I got reader Albert emailed about his new Laughter Therapy workshop on Toronto.

Don’t Agonize, Laughercize
Can we practice joy?
Yes, apparently.
That’s the idea behind a new form of Advanced Laugher workshops called Laughercize.
Laughercize is a new combination of Laugher-Yoga, Improv Theater and Martial Arts where laughter is practiced as an art. Laughercize relies on new science which claims laughter has remarkable and often ignored health benefits.Laughing Benefits http://stress.about.com/od/stresshealth/a/laughter.htm
Albert Nerenberg, the director who leads the 1 month workshop says he developed the method while working on a TV documentary about laughing while studying laughter yoga and that it’s a blast.

Laugher Yoga was developed originally developed in India by Doctor Madan Kataria whose innovation was revealing that even pointless laughter is really good for you. Advanced Laughter which combines Theatre, Martial arts and Laughter Yoga is Laughercize – it’s guaranteed to put a smile on your face.
Laughercize – Advanced Laugher begins March 6th at the Centre for the Arts and costs $150.

Hey,
I came across your website and see that you seem to know a lot about shopping in TO. I am looking for the perfect formal dress for a graduation prom and was wondering if you can give me some advice. I am looking for BCBG, ABS schwartz, that type of quality. Something gorgeous dazzling, understated and around 300-500. I know there are BCBG stores in the eaton center and yorkdale but have been disappointed by their selection in the past. I heard their are some good stores on Avenue Rd. DO u know of any really good ones?
Hi Fran,
I don’t shop for formal and evening wear very must but I’m good at putting together lists and I wander around a lot. So here is a list of shops in Toronto to take a look at.
Boutique Le Trou – Queen West Area. Canadian fashion spot that was recently mentioned in Vogue. Boutique Le Trou has closed
Lowon Pope – Liberty Village. 117 Jefferson Av – I always stare when passing by this store. The dresses are beautiful. Seems more bridal focused.
Betsey Johnston – Yorkville
Little Black Dress Shop – Queen West. The name isn’t lying, this shop only stocks black dresses. I have been there before and it’s nice.
Want Boutique – Yonge/Eglinton – I’ve bought jewelery from Want, but didn’t look the formal wear.
F/X – Queen West – Definitely hit this place up, they carry a ton of cocktail dresses. FX has closed.
Holt Renfrew – Yorkville – Yes, Holt Renfrew, there is a selection of dresses in those price points.
Hoax Couture Studio Boutique – Queen West
Anne Hung Boutique – This might not be dressy enough for you but if you in the area anyways.
Fashion Crimes – Queen West – Another place to definitely stop by.
Maxi Boutique – Danthforth
Ooh La La Couture – Dufferin/St. Clair
Update (May 2, 2010): Champagne and Cupcakes
Update (May 2, 2010): Jacflash
Update (May 2, 2010): Original – Took over the old FX location.
Update (May 16, 2010): Cors Boutique
Update (May 16, 2010): Marilyn’s
Update (June 15, 2010): Dina Alonzi Bridal & Cocktail Collections – On the higher end of the scale
Update (June 15, 2010): Hugo Nicholson – On the higher end of the scale
Update (June 15, 2010): Marilyn’s
Update (June 15, 2010): Melanie Lyne
I hope you find what you are looking for, but if not, there is still lots of time. If you don’t mind consignment clothing then hit up the Paper Bag Princess for designer goods.
pantone fashion color report fall 2007
These are the hot colours for Fall 2007. What a fantastic colour palette. I love all the colours. I’ve been feeling purple again and it definitely catches my eye whenever I see it around. For the longest time I didn’t really have a favourite colour;. I have a clearer vision of that now and it’s purple.

Balenciaga Fall 2007 Collection – Shoes
I really like parts of the Balenciaga Fall 2007 collection, but it was all over the place. There were a lot of “in theory pieces” like the Jodhpurs. I don’t know what to think of the shoes though.

Designer knockoff, literally
Yohji Yamamoto Fall 2007 collection was pretty funny. It looks like he was inspired by the infamous Louis Vuitton logo and decided to knock it off.

I do really like this outfit thought.
